Looking to ditch the USB cable connecting your phone to your car’s Android Auto, look no further. OEDCVVD is the product to buy. Purchased for a ’21 RX 350 that supports wired AA. Phone is a ’21 android phone with 12GB of RAM (this is critical for context). If you are currently using AA via cable, you can expect the same performance with this wireless device. Plugged this device in the USB port I used to plug my cable in. Followed the included instructions. Followed the displayed instructions on my screen. It went live. It is so nice, to leave my phone in my pocket and watch my AA display on my screen. Every time! Default app on my display is Google Maps in satellite mode. I use Waze when travelling. AA available streaming apps work. Google voice assistant works. It’s been three months. No crashes. No frozen screens. It connects within 30-60 seconds after starting my car. Same amount of time it took me to take my phone out of my pocket and connect the USB cable. I recommend this adapter.

Wireless CThis adapter is a game-changer! I was skeptical at first, but setup was ridiculously easy—plug it into the USB port, wait a few seconds, and boom—wireless CarPlay. No more tangled cables or forgetting my phone on the seat. It connects automatically within 5-10 seconds every time I start the car, and the responsiveness is nearly identical to a wired connection. Update 3/26/26: iPhone 16 pro max, iOS 26.3.1(a) Short text messages are cut off as well as driving directions. I’ll hear message from the persons name, and then it’s cut off if they say something short like “ok”, “no”, “yes”. While connected in safari I went to 192.168.1.101 and did a firmware update. No change. On that page I tried all 4 audio types: Default, 1,2,3. I tried changing the WiFi channel from 36 to 161. Nothing improved the performance. Audio apps work fine for music or podcasts. Video apps have audio lagging behind what’s on the iPhones screen, but that’s ok I’m not watching it, I’m driving (only would use a video app to LISTEN). The only way to get Siri to read the entire text message, or for uninterrupted driving directions that aren’t cut off mid sentence is for me to use a usb cable. Reducing to 1 star because it’s annoying. I submitted a bug report via the 192.168.1.101 page and it said “ Operation successful Case No.:260326220001424/2846 Send this number to the seller you purchased the item from”. I will fix the rating if they create a firmware update that fixes this issue. This is so much more convenient than plugging in a cable to start car play. I was surprised that the pairing time is a little faster than with a wire after initial setup. I went into a store, shopped, came out and started the car… it blinks blue for maybe 5 seconds then goes solid green and in a few seconds my phones connected resuming the music I had on when I shut my car off. I would go through cables every few months because of all the plugging and unplugging. Now I just have a MagSafe vent mount for charging and this for wireless car play. I never have to buy cables again! That in itself will pay for this device! I have a Mazda CX5 before they ever had wireless car play.

Product was very easy to install and setup. Connected to product in moments. So far it works amazingly. I love not having wires all over and can keep my car looking organized. I also like that I was able to purchase it the night before and had it delivered to the locker closet to me by 9am the next morning. It is definitely worth the purchase.

I have to give this 4/5 stars for ONLY one reason: my phone will still connect to it even when I'm out of the car, up the stairs in my apartment, or (inexplicably) in the back of the grocery or drug store. It's SO frustrating when it randomly clicks over and suddenly I can't continue my conversation because the person on the other end is lost in the void. This also tends to happen when my hands are full and can't immediately switch back- annoying af. Otherwise it works really well- plug and play with no real effort and connects right away. Battery life seems to be good, I have yet to charge it. I also love that it's small and basically takes up no space.

Way better than having to pug into the usb cord each time. So far it's worked with both Carplay and Android with almost zero issues. Best of all, it connects each time I get into the car without any prompting. I'd buy it again if I needed a second one. Hopefully it will last for a while and I won't need another one!

The pairing process was simple and very straight forward. However, after a couple of days, it fail to connect a few times and I had to unplug it and plug it back in. After a few times, the problem seemed to go away but now it disconnects randomly after I turn the vehicle on with no apparent reason. Also, audio for calls and messages breaks up. In summary, it's not a reliable device if you want to have wireless Carplay. Probably not worth the hassle for the functionality it provides.

I was skeptical when the service writer at the local VW dealership told me this worked well. It was very easy to set up both with Bluetooth and with Wi-Fi and remember the passcode is 88888888 for the Wi-Fi configuration. It works absolutely better than if you had the phone iPhone in this case plugged directly into the USB port… I really can’t believe it, but if I’m using my AirPods and initiate a call, it recognizes that I have AirPods in my head and switches off the hands-free in the vehicle where I’m using my AirPods to communicate, which is much preferred over speakerphone. It actually acts more intelligent than a USB cable plug directly in to my iPhone. I still can’t believe it works properly and better than the alternative. I have a 2016 golf sport wagon. And for this vehicle and for my wife’s 2017 Jetta, this really does the trick. I wish I had done this a long time ago.

DESPUES DE UN MES DE USO CITO LO SIGUIENTE: 1. FACIL DE EMPAREJAR CON EL AUTO (CARPLAY). 2. SE DESCONECTA EL VOLUMEN AVECES, FUNCIONA Y TODO PERO DEJA DE SONAR, HAY QUE DESCONECTAR Y RECONECTAR PARA QUE FUNCIONE CORRECTAMENTE. 3. AL CONECTARSE CORRECTAMENTE DISMINUYE EL NIVEL DE VOLUMEN. 3. TIENE UNA LATENCIA DE UN SEGUNDO CUANDO CAMBIAS DE CANCIONES.

De muy buena calidad, se conecta de inmediato, solo no me gustó que reduce un poco el volumen pero de ahí en fuera excelente
