Due to multiple herniated disks that have caused spinal cord compression in my neck, I started research into cervical collars. Specifically, due to paresthesia in my arms at night, I needed one I could sleep in. After much reading online, the Aspen Vista came in as a top choice, so in my cart it went.I have to say, it has helped a lot!Since I've started sleeping in the collar, I have not been woken up by my arms going numb.It is easy to adjust and is fairly comfortable. I switched to a contour pillow as that allows me to support my head but not put extra pressure on the collar.My only potential complaint would be the comfort of the padding. It is soft and thin enough not to be warming, but I believe I may make a soft cotton or linen liner for the pad going under the chin, just for the sake of comfort.I also like that they sell replacement padding and have ordered a couple of sets for when the original wears out over time.Overall, if you need a Cervical Collar to sleep in, you have my understanding sympathy and my recommendation of this collar.

This is a very nice cervical collar. It is exactly like the one I received after surgery and is at least the third one I have purchased. They last a surprisingly long time and are very comfortable. However I do with that they would include an extra set of pads and Velcro.

Used post multiple level cervical spine fusion surgery. Easily adjusted. Solid support. Only detail to share; one may wish to purchase extra padding as the cotton pads hold moisture leading to development of odor due to need for constant use.

I purchased this for assistance in holding my head and neck straight due to torticollus and tremors I have had for over 30 years. I went back and forth with Alexa for a really long time before buying it because I wanted to make sure I was getting what I needed. The collar does hold your head and neck in a stable position. The problem, which is why I am writing this review, is because of an unanticipated issue with it. I used to wear a different type of collar my neurologist recommended and it eventually broke. Well, you know the more (stablization) is better theory...yep, I did that. But the back piece of the collar is seriously intended to prevent any movement of the head and neck. No wiggle room. After wearing it for about 10 minutes it was clear that continued use would damage my cervical vertabrae. I ended up getting a collar more suitable for my needs and since this one is nonrefundable I threw it out. Now don't misunderstand. This collar does exactly what it says it will do. My concern is if you are looking for a stable collar, talk to your doctor first and then have them do the initial fitting. If you don't you could physically hurt yourself without realizing it. I knew something was wrong quickly but someone else might not. If you are used to wearing this type of collar and you know what you need, go for it! It's a good collar. If you aren't sure though, check with your doctor first. And 4 stars instead of 5 is to hopefully get your attention and read this. I honestly can't think of anything about this collar that is negative other than what I've already written.

I needed it following my cervical spine surgery. But it has gotten quite worn out, so I bought a new one. I might rhinestone this one!!

Once in awhile my neck will be a bit tired and achy in the morning. I put the ASPEN Vista Cervical Collar on for about ten or fifteen minutes and it seems to help a lot. My neck doesn't bother me after that. My dad used to use one of those pulley type neck stretchers every morning, but this is much quicker to use, and without all the weights, pulley, and cords.

Compared to other collars I've seen, this Aspen Vista seems to be well made. The one star is NOT because of the quality.But, good luck trying to get it adjusted if nobody's around to help you. Directions do show how to adjust it (somewhat), with another pair of hands helping you. You WILL need another pair of hands with this initial (once only, I hope) step. Also, turning the knob, and other adjustments, aren't easy if you've got hand/finger/joint problems.This type of issue hadn't crossed my mind since nothing in the product ad or reviews even hinted at it and while this isn't a common issue, some other folks might not think of it either.Once I use it, I'll update this review regarding it's effectiveness in helping the physical issue...... ..... ..... Update ..... ..... ..... I envy all the folks who are able to adjust and wear this collar.I can't. It cannot be adjusted enough to fit my ... relatively normal neck and head.. I didn't say "mind", I said head.It cannot be pulled snug enough for the back section to properly support the head and tighten the collar, leaving a lot of room to move.I actually got a EMT friend to advise and was told these are not easy to use if you have any mobility issues and are trying to put it on when you're alone.They were designed more for an emergency application by a trained professional.As I found out. No matter how it's adjusted or how tight the velcro is pulled, it will NOT restrict movement enough to be of any use to me.I guess a trip to an overpriced physical therapist for an equally overpriced collar is is order. But, hopefully it will result in a rigid collar that fits and can be put on without it being a major production.Try this, it's worked for some folks. But, try it before the time to return it passes or you will have "burned" $50.00 ... just like I did.

Aspen neck collar with the dial was great. Much more comfortable that the Aspen collar without the dial. Make sure when putting it on it fits in the correct position in the back of the neck to keep it properly protecting the back of the neck from movement. It may take a few days to get used to. I have a C2 fracture, Dr has instructed me to wear this 24/7 (I can remove briefly to shower) . The pads do get a little warm when wearing, hopefully you’re not having to wear this in hot weather or hot/humid climate. I have 4 different hard collars, by far this is the Best one for sleeping . After wearing it 24/7 for 5 weeks, the jaw area that goes up and down starts to slip, I had to buy a 2nd o one to have on hand just in case it breaks, you don’t want to be without this one. It’s up to you to make sure this is properly put on and properly secured but if worn correctly, this is by far the most comfortable and secure neck collar choice. Great price even if you have to buy a 2nd one

I broke my neck 12 months ago and on discharge from hospital the NHS wouldn't supply a brace, so I bought this. It's a but grubby after a year's use but still functions perfectly. I have been in and out of different hospitals for surgery over the year and have been offered a number of different braces but I always choose to use this. It is robust, adjustable and comfortable. It's also easy to put on and can be adjusted while in place. I can't fault it.

This collar is so comfortable. I had the aspen collar and the vista was all around better fit. There wasn't one area that took the weight of my jaw, it was evenly distributed. Same with the pressure on my chest, evenly displaced.The adjustment clearly is next level. Sometimes I want some movement to be able to talk without the upward pressure on my jaw. Sometimes I want to be immobilized so I extend the dial to again a comfortable position for myself. I would recommend this to all. At least try it.
