Klein Tools 89556 Metal Cutter, Tin Snips Cut Tin, Copper, Aluminum, Vinyl, Steel and Stainless Steel, 12-Inch

Bought this to mainly cut old metal credit cards and it's proven to be decent at it.

I had 35+ year old Stanley sheet metal shears that needed new blades but they are no longer made. Hence my purchase of this pair. The Klein version has large handles and big, very sharp blades. I cut some stainless screen that was giving my old Stanley cutters fits. The Klein cutters zipped right through the very hard stainless screen that was just mangled by my old Stanley cutter. I would like a smaller pair of these cutters for more maneuverability but I don’t think Klein makes them. If I find them, it’s an instant sale. See the photos for a sense of the size of these cutters. I have big mitts and the Kleins make my hands look small. Hope that helps!

Needed for vinyl siding repair, made swift work of a patch job after storm damage. Came sharp and ready to slice.

Well made. Quality product Worked great for what I needed. Used to cut aluminum heat shield. Cut like butter. Definitely recommend.

These things are huge, lots of leverage for cutting.

Will not cut 24 gauge sheet metal. Ok so it can cut if you press one of the handles against the ground and press with you body weight on the other handle. How ever even using this method once you have cut about Two inches into the sheet the handles themselves prevent moving forward. They are very sharp and I plan to keep them, maybe I can find a use for them one day. BUT I purchased them because the ad says cuts 24 gauge. It Does NOT!

YASSSS! If you are doing any kind of peel and stick tile…this is your SAVIOR! DO not get tin snips. No!!!! These cut through aluminum penny tiles like BUDDA!!! I was stressed because I bought this amazing aluminum or metal type penny tile, peel and stick, nothing would cut it. I got these and boom! WIN!!!!

There just to big, I have xl in gloves so the hands aren’t small, my hand can only open the Sissors barley half way resulting in the sissors are only going to get used at the tips of the cutting blades, they simply can’t be opened all the way to get whatever you are cutting right up to the end of the cutting blades where you would get more force if you needed, to do this you would need to use them like a pair of gardening shares using 2 hands, you effectively would have no control, shame they made them humongous because build quality is really good and blades are sharp, have to send them back
