Handmade Sword - Japanese Style Samurai Katana Swords, Practical, Hand Forged, 1045 Carbon Steel, Heat Tempered, Full Tang, Sharp, Bamboo Tsuba, Black Wooden Scabbard

I have been in Martial Arts since after I got out of Army. My Master (Head of Ji Do Kwan Family Style) was Korean however due to Japan's Actions in WWII was brought to Japan. So after getting Hook De, you are allowed to start weapons training. I was better with Bo and Battons than Katana. However my Master was exquisite to watch with his Katana. Being a 2nd Dan now I decided for exercise and personal improvement to give "Kendo" another try. After reading reviews I was comfortable with trying this U.S. Made Blade and I Could Not Be Happier! It's weighted perfectly, the blade is sharp but not exaggerated, factors like this make for a solid feel even at odd striking angles. I use my Bokken when indoors but this when I get the chance to do workout outside. I simply love this sword. I will probably upgrade to a more expensive blade after I get better. I just wanted to Thank this company from California for selling me a very well made blade that is not just made to decorate a wall, Ty. Z

I just took my new Katana out of the box. The blade looks like its slightly off from being perfectly straight. Other than that, this sword looks ready for battle. One reviewer complained about the handle being loose, my sword is very solidly put together.

I’m 49 and I’ve been collecting swords for a while now and I must say it has gotten easier to get them now and this by far is one of the nicest swords for its price. Like most swords on Amazon these might only be good for some self defense at home or for an intruder without a gun or a camping trip weapon as long as it’s not a bear. And save yourself some disappointment don’t go trying to cut threw huge limbs on a tree these aren’t layered steel like some real hand forged steel there basically for looks or cosplay. But if you want a decent sword and a good looking sword this is it or any in this price range and up. And if you by a twenty dollar sword don’t complain about how it looks or it broke those are only for display I wouldn’t cut a piece of string with one

Thanks to all that replied to my Ask a Question about this item. It's Great, beautiful and sharp. First thing I did was stand the box it was shipped in on its end, and took a swipe at it. Cut the box clean into and I didn't even swing the Kanata that hard. Great sword and I will have it the rest of my life for sure!

This is a good quality katana for the price. It pressure fits perfectly into the scabard, the blade is smooth and even and strong and you can tell it isn't cheap, it is a real forged blade. The hilt is well made and tight. It is a beautiful weapon and I am excited to have it in my collection.

Everything about it is amazing. Looks beautiful. Feels good in the hand. Feels strong. One prob though, not very sharp... in fact, to the eye someone would think its unsharpened. But other than that its amazing!

The sword has great quality I love just looking at the blade! It's sharper than I thought it would be. I will end up sharpening it more later but it's pretty fricken sharp as is. Sturdy, no rust, no loose parts, pretty well balanced. It's a great buy! The original price was around $300 but it was on sale for $103 it is more than worth it.

I'm no sword expert, but this thing arrived sharp and seems way solid in its engineering compared to those mall pop up kiosks. I think it's a good weapon and could actually be used in combat based on how it feels. I'm satisfied especially for the sale price! I love just looking at it, the katana is beautiful.
