Love. Would repurchase.
Great stuff. As others have said, this are big and crunchy! Planters tends to be smaller and softer/waxier which isn't unwelcome but nothing beats a great crisp especially when mixing these with chips for a movie or something. To me it has the perfect amount of heat if you like heat. It builds as you keep eating them but it has a cap that isn't too extreme if you enjoy things that have a good kick but these may be okay for ppl who are neutral to heat if these are mixed with other snacks. Alone may be a little intense after 3 or 4.. I wouldn't recommend for spice wimps of course but hopefully a spice wimp wouldn't be under the impression that hot habanero peanuts were a good choice for them. These also have good complex flavor so it's not just one or two notes of hot and salty, there's a tiny bit of sweetness to it. Nothing crazy to me like others have mentioned them being honey roasted. Definitely not that sweet. Just complex like a spicy rub that has a tiny bit of brown sugar in it for depth. I really like that these brands very in flavor and are not just heat levels for the different kinds.

Nice heat and great quality peanuts
Virginia peanuts are the best and the Peanut Shop's are always good. I like this flavor because it is one of the hotter ones I've tried. Now, I've never had ANY that were really hot from any brand but these deliver a good heat and great flavor. These are probably pretty spicy for the average American's palate but if you are from a country that eats really spicy food, these won't be that hot. That said they are still a great peanut. Yum!

Really good spicy nuts!
I must say these are very tasty spicy peanuts! The one problem is some batches have more flavor than others. The first batch I ordered was amazing, covered in the delicious seasoning. I loved them and finished the can in a matter of days. The second batch I ordered had (literally) almost no seasoning and wasn’t spicy at all. I was so disappointed. I did contact them and (to their credit!) they sent me new can. The third can was much better, had a good amount of seasoning (although not as much as the first) and I was much happier. The flavor is excellent when they are coated, and the peanuts themselves have a great crunch. I’d give 5 stars across the board if every can was like the first, but due to the inconsistency I have to give 4. Great company, I’ll be buying these again for sure!

Fresh and Good Flavor
I think these were really good, and I'm buying another couple of jars after wolfing them down in a few days. I'm a spicy food fanatic, and nothing is ever spicy enough for me, so I wont comment on that aspect-- everyone has a different perception of 'heat,' and I can always add some carolina reaper powder. But as is, there was enough of a kick to make me happy, and not be off-putting to those who are more sensitive. I really liked the flavor in general. I tried another brand, and those were so salty I couldn't eat them. I appreciated that these had a good balance of salt and it wasn't overwhelming. The peanuts themselves were really amazing. So large and crunchy and fresh and delicious. Big fan of these!

What part of "Hot Habanero Chile Pepper" do you not understand?
If you don't want HOT, don't order these nuts! Habanero peppers are among the hottest commercially harvested peppers. These peanuts are not "hot" in the sense of anything you might buy in a grocery store or order online (such as Virginia Diner brand "Cajun" "hot" peanuts, that barely wake up your tastebuds). These little guys are the real thing - HOT. Your tastebuds will stand at attention (or maybe fall over dead)! Beneath the heat, there is a distinctive (and yummy) habanero flavor - the reason these are my most favorite peppers (exceptional heat + exceptional flavor). I enjoyed a small handful of these nuts, and to cool off, I ate a large package of Skittles candy (hey, it's Halloween time). The candy didn't even knock a dent in the heat - I was still feeling it at the end of the Skittles bag. Now THAT'S what I call hot peanuts!!! These nuts are the real thing. Please don't buy them and then complain that they are too hot. They're HOT, OK? If you think that anything that you might get at Taco Bell is "hot" (including the so-called "Fire" sauce) then these nuts are not for you. Signed, - Bring on the Heat (and keep it comin') DavidFilmer (If you find my review helpful, please "like" it - thanks!)

Mighty Surge of Flavor-- Not So Much Now...
I love these things. I'm serious. The peanuts are good, but it's the seasoning, the Habanero Heat, that makes them basically perfect. They're hot enough to seize your attention but stop short of the 'endurance test' level heat that turns a snack into more of a novelty than something you actually enjoy eating. The heat builds as you go, mingling wonderfully with the rich peanut oil. I have to make myself stop eating them. My local shop stopped carrying them. The fools. I'll buy from Amazon because I do not want to be without them. EDIT: As noticed by at least one other reviewer, the recipe has changed. The heat and flavor have been dramatically reduced from what I raved about in my review above. These peanuts are not bad now, but I am sorry to say that they are a shadow of the unique and delicious treat they used to be.

Best chocolate nut clusters...ever!
I buy these every year to make Habanero Chocolate Nut Clusters! Everyone complains about how spicy they are, but they don’t last long at holiday parties or work. Always becomes a fun/funny conversation when people start daring each other to try one. If you make these I recommend 1/2 dry roasted to 1/2 habanero. Although, I like them with just the habanero. Use any left over chocolate to coat pretzels for a spicy treat. The hardest part about using these is getting them into the chocolate. On their own they have an amazing habanero flavor. Unlike many HOT CATEGORY snack products the heat doesn’t come at the cost of sacrificing the fantastic taste. The crunch of each nut is amazing. I’ve yet to pull a bad one. This is my go to mid to high range spicy peanut!
