I work nights and sleep during the day. I had new windows put in and my blackout roller shade wouldn’t fit in the new windows. I ordered this product and my room is blacker than night! I came back to order for all the bedroom windows. I gave myself about 2 inches extra fabric around all the edges. Easy to measure and cut. You initially peel and stick the thick round magnets on the window frame - try to mount as close to the edge of your window / wall. You are then supposed to peel and stick the thinner round magnets and place on fabric - but don’t do that. Instead mount the thick magnets, then use the thin magnets on the outside of the fabric to trap the fabric between the magnets - this way if you want to adjust the tension of the fabric you can easily adjust, and if you want to take the fabric out of the windows it’s easy. The mounted heavy magnets stay. I am going to size the fabric for my guest room and put up the magnets but not the fabric until needed. This was super cheap compared to blackout shades. I have pull-up slat shades that always hang down in front so you don’t see the blackout fabric when they are closed. My room was cooler within 10 minutes of putting up the fabric in my west facing windows. The silver side is not super reflective so looks fine from the outside.

I haven’t installed them the proper way yet. I was desperate and just used push pins, but wow, these are amazing! The blackout capability and temperature control are seriously quality of life changing! I bought these mainly for the temperature control because the house air conditioner is broken and it’s reaching 85/90 degrees in here, I was feeling so ill, these covers have saved my health and my sanity! My pots flares have died down! And my bedroom is completely dark from the window that I have covered with these. They aren’t lookers, so they definitely need nice curtains in front of them, but I’m the only one in my bedroom so their appearance doesn’t bother me because they work so well. The first picture is taken at 10:45 in the morning of the window covered.

I have blackout curtains— but they still let in light. I sewed blackout curtain liners, into my curtains, blocking most of the light. Unfortunately, light came in through the sides and in the middle of the curtains. I can’t sleep with light. My bedroom is next to a bright street light which shines into my back bedroom. I live in Texas, so my bedroom gets a lot of light. These window covers are amazing! There is no more light. My bedroom is pitch black; which is perfect. The covers are very lightweight and easy to use or reuse. I didn’t use the magnets instead I used pushpins from my home office. The size fit my windows perfectly. It wasn’t excellent value and exactly what I needed. I’m very happy with this purchase.

All things considered, the BKSAI Cuttable Blackout Window Covers are a great value and a smart solution for anyone looking for a customizable way to block out light without breaking the bank. With slightly improved adhesive, this would easily be a 5-star product.

⭐⭐⭐☆☆ The magnetic attachment is a great idea in theory, but it was much harder to install than I expected. The cover is fairly heavy, so the magnets didn’t hold it securely on my window. I ended up buying adhesive hook-and-loop (Velcro) strips separately, which worked much better. I bought this to help keep my kids’ room dark for better sleep, and it does block a good amount of light. However, I wouldn’t say it’s 100% blackout like the ads claim. Light still comes through the gaps around the edges, so don’t expect complete darkness.

Comes with everything you need to get it set up. Read the instructions to make sure once you put it up, it sticks indefinitely. I had no issues. Carefully measuring your window, and the piece you cut out for that window. will make a difference in how much light is filtered out. It is true that it is 100 percent blackout, but you must make sure you cover the window entirely with the material so little cracks of light don’t seep in around the seems. Unless that doesn’t matter to you. I found this very useful in my camper. I was able to cover two regular camper windows and 1 small camper bathroom window with material to spare. I noticed in the summer it will block out a lot of heat. Make sure the silver side faces the outside part of the window for it to reflect heat. I’ve even noticed it has blocked some of the cold from coming in the windows of the camper during the colder months too. All in all they have held up really well so far without losing any stickiness. I highly recommend.

This is awesome. Huge difference In temperature. One window without covering got up to 108 and the window with the covering was down to 76 degrees. It’s over 100 outside.

In den letzten Tagen sind natürlich die Temperaturen extrem angestiegen. Da ich zum Überfluß auch noch im Dachgeschoß wohne, musste endlich eine Lösung her. Was macht man also? Ja man guckt auf Amazon nach Ventilatoren, aber was bringt einem ein Ventilator, wenn die Sonne ab Mittags auf die Fenster scheint und dadurch die Zimmer und Wände extrem aufheizen!? Daher dachte ich mir, guckst du mal nach Rollos für deine Dachfenster, aber wie befästigst du die den, bei einem Dachfenster das auch noch schräg ist? Was basteln wollte ich jetzt nicht, daher einfach mal geguckt was es so für Alternativen gibt und bin auf die Verdunklungsfolie gestoßen. Schön und optimal mit Magneten, so das man nicht noch extra etwas bohren oder basteln muss. Ich habs daher einfach mal bestellt, da ich endlich die Wärme loswerden wollte. Hab mir die 3 Meter lange variante bestellt, da ich zwei Fenster verdunkeln wollte und so noch Platz für fehler hätte. Kam noch am gleichen Abend an und hab es dann am nächsten Morgen montiert. Die Folie kam mit ausreichender Anzahl an Magneten, einigen Klettklebestreifen, ein Schneidemesser wie auch einer mehrsprachigen Anleitung. Die Folie hat eine Silber seite, die die Sonne reflektieren soll und einer Schwarzen seite für Innen, damit es auch schön dunkel wird. Für das zuschneiden der Folie, sollte man etwas Zeit einplanen, sofern man es auch ordentlich und bündig haben möchte. Auch dadurch, das die 3 Meter Folie sehr lang und etwas sperrig ist. Ich habe für das ordentlich zuschneiden und montieren der zwei Fenster alleine, etwas mehr wie 1,5h gebraucht. Wichtig, bevor ihr die Magnete montiert, reinigt die Stellen damit die Klebefolie der Magnete auch richtig haften kann. Nach der Montage der Folie, fühlt es sich direkt kühler und angenehmer an. Damit kann der richtige Sommer gerne kommen, ich bin vorbereitet! Ich kann die Folie bestens empfehlen. In dem Sinne, gönne ich mir jetzt ein kaltes Getränk und wünsche euch gutes gelingen.

Pretty easy to set up. I use it to cover the lower half of a full-length window to reduce glare and reflection from the street below and it worked well. I didn't want a permanent solution, so the magnet was really nice as it was easy to take off the curtain and put it back on.

Perfect for its purpose. I bought this for my baby’s room and it’s absolutely perfect it blocking out light. It’s really easy to install with the magnets and additional mounting Velcro and easily to cut to size. Only thing I do say is use your own sizers or cutting knife as the plastic cutting tools is Poor. Withe the magnets set on the blinds it’s really easy to pop up and down at a moments notice. I’ve had no problems to far with the adhesion coming loose which is great to see. Value wise I recommend this is the best durable/flexible (size wise) your going to get at this price point. All in all would recommend.
