It is a large clam, not abalone.
It is what it is. Do not expect abalone that we know of and it’s fine. Still yummy and has good chew.

Arrived timely
Very soft texture. The consistency was not at all like what I remembered as a child. I thought it was expensive for the amount contained and for a foriegn product. I won't reorder this.

Bad texture and Weird Taste
The texture and taste does not match what normal abalones (even canned ones) taste or feel like. I took a bite and had to spit it back out then I toss the whole can, along with the additional unopened can that I purchased, away. It’s not worth the risk swallowing this.

Delicious!!
It’s very hard to find abalone anywhere! When I have traveled to countries by the oceans I always make it a point to look for it and I ask around if there’s anyplace that have it in the specific city where I be and some don’t even know what I’m talking about. I love this one that I was lucky to find here on Amazon. The abalone is excellent; great quality and taste. By now, I have ordered it several times, and I know I’ll keep going back to it Thank you

There are 3 abalone per can. They are tasty and very tender. I made some amazing abalone /bok choy soup like my mother used to make when I was a kid. Brought back some great memories!
