Astounding quality for a pocket money price.
An astounding mic for a pocket money price. And the accessories are all great, I especially like the smartphone lead - in bright light, using the mic even a my smartphone video could pass off as broadcast quality! I purchased this to use with setting up hybrid online+physical meetings in church halls on Zoom. It's been a nightmare, crazy hall reverb, no passing of radio mics allowed, massive circles around the device due to social distancing - so everyone is far away from the mic. Miking people up is too complex and expensive. This mic solved all our issues! The hall reverb is cut 90%. We popped the mic and laptop on a cheap turntable and everything works great. We can hear the person the mic is pointed at while the reverberation is almost completely cut out. Got a mini recording studio at home and have a small collection of mics, most of which cost 3X plus of what I paid for this - and it even comes with a deadcat shield which I'll be testing outside tomorrow. I've not been this impressed by mics costing much more. Top notch product for peanuts. Bravo.

Very good for the price.
This is a very good mic - for the price (just over £25 on the Spring deal.) You might get fancier and more versatile microphones if you pay much more, but the audio quality is very good with this Movo mic. Connects perfectly with my Nikon DSLR and gives much improved sound on video, but it does NOT connect with my iPhone (thus 4 stars), despite using the correct adapter. I think that's an issue with the adapter, not the mic. No worries - I want it for my DSLR anyway. A surprise in the box was an extra, alternative - better - shock mount. Both shock mounts are a very tight fit on the mic, so I'm leaving the mic on its mount. Happy so far, anyway! Update: I've also been able to use this as a USB microphone by connecting it to the PC with a UGREEN USB Sound Card.

Perfect vlogging mic
I love this microphone! If you're just starting out making videos, then this should be your first port of call. The main reason most people click off a youtube video is that it has bad audio - this solves that problem nearly instantly. First things first... you get the microphone, a shock mount (with a cold shoe bottom), two cables, a dead cat and a little bag to keep it all in. It's really small, that's the first thing to note, and I carry it around in the front pocket of my backpack. It's light and super easy to just have on you at all times. It comes with two different cables for two different functions - one to plug into a camera or an external recorder (such as a zoom h1) and one to plug straight into a phone's microphone/headset jack. If you've got an iPhone, you'll need a dongle, but that won't come as news to you. It sounds fine, albeit a little tinny. It's loud enough that you won't have to add masses of gain and, for most people, this microphone should be pretty much plug-in and play. It's great for vlogging, and there's no battery in there so there's nothing to remember to turn on/plug in/charge - it just works. That's the best thing about this mic - it just works! Highly recommend it, so much so I have two of them

Absolutely shocking
Dreadful microphone. I know it's fairly cheap but it is horrendously noisy. I used it with my dslr at first, just tonnes of hiss and so I assumed it was the dslr due to it having no pre amps. I then plugged it into my tascam and recorded audio seperately to the dslr but still got the same hiss. I did not expect it to be an amazing mic for the price tbh, but I also didn't expect the noise floor to be that bad. Don't buy it, terrible.

Reliable
When I brought this I was not very sure about it it some how did not look the part I am glad to say I was wrong it works a treat and I have noticed a lot of people have them including professional photographers who have really expensive gear they say it at the top of its field and durable

Good for starting but not great
I've had mine for 2 years and stopping to use it unless outside. Sound indoors is not good and better to just record with my other mic and sync the audio. Works well outside to remove background/wind noise though. One of the screws on the mount keeps coming off so I have to put it together frequently when traveling with my gear. I'd say it's good for the price if you shoot outdoors but maybe invest in a better one if you film primarily indoors.

Brilliant for small youtube channels and new vloggers
As a new youtuber I found this mic so easy to set up, and to use. It is quite literally plug and play. It comes with all the necessary leads unlike the other similar brands and the sound quality is deffinitely better than my original smart phone mic. Its sturdy, fits directly onto my tripod with the cold shoe and just works so well. I'm very happy with this mic. I honestly think this is a very good budget friendly mic for a small youtube setup, definitely worth the money invested. EDIT ONE YEAR ON So, I stopped using this last January as I bought a new camera and the audio was ready good on the camera so I thought Hey, I dont need it. I've just used it again on my camera and the sound quality is SO much better. I cannot even believe I've just spent a year not using this mic. I liked the mic on my phone, it was budget friendly and better but the mic is so much better on my camera than what it was on my phone. My audio is crisp and I'm really happy for the price. Just be careful if your recording on a desk tripod and using the desk as everytime I put makeup back on the desk the microphone picks it up through the tripod lol. Would deffo recomend especially for a camera external mic.
