Great scale would definitely recommend
Great scale use it all the time. For making soap, cooking and baking. Nice size screen for reading measurements. Accuracy spot on! Thin enough it slides right into my cabinet for storage not taking up much room. Would also make a great gift.

Great scale, good price, looks great!
I purchased the Greater Goods kitchen scale as my wife and I recently began living a healthier and cleaner lifestyle. I’ll say, for anyone looking at improving their life healthy eating is the first step, and to do so you NEED a good food scale. After reviewing dozens of scales I purchased this one as the company seems to have a great product, which looks good, at a great price, and they’re a responsible company. I have a very modern kitchen and do not like clutter. This scale looks great whether I keep it on the counter or in a drawer. It’s sleek and slim, and multiple different measurements, and is very easy to use. I typically use the oz. or gram setting the most. For those that haven’t used a food scale before...it’s EASY! For example, if I’m making chicken tacos, I’ll first put the plate and two tortillas on the scale. Then I’ll zero it out. Then when I add my chicken I’ll know exactly how much I’m having without dirtying multiple bowls/plates. Then I zero it out again, and start adding cheese, zero it out again and add additional toppings. It’s easy to use and helps in calorie counting. Especially if you enter your food intake into an app (I use MyFitnessPal), it is amazing! The first one I purchased stopped working shortly after receiving (kept showing no low battery and turning off, even after buying new batteries), but they company promptly shipped another. I rated a 4/5 for this reason, but will increase to 5/5 if this one holds up. It’s a good chance it was a one-off defect. Thank you for reading and rating my review! Cheers to you and your new healthy lifestyle! :)

Great, simple kitchen scale
Use it for sourdough! Easy to use, has diff weighing options (grams, oz, etc), very sensitive to weight (in a good way!), and adjusts immediately. Comes with batteries. The buttons can be a bit of a fumble sometimes (like trying to press it properly) but for the most part can press without issue.

Everything I’d been looking for in a kitchen scale
Disclaimer: I did receive this product for free- however that has not influenced my review here in any way. I do not have any affiliation with Greater Goods. I was simply given this product to test since I also purchased several of their other products. First off, the packaging is both minimal and beautiful. They cut out waste by not including a manual or a very small manual. Instead, they feature a very easy to type in link which takes you straight to the online manual. In addition, the box is recycled cardboard and no plastic, the wrapping is corn-based and it’s easy to open- just what I’ve come to expect from Greater Goods. The scale is plastic with a stainless steel top. It is light, without feeling “cheap”. It is made in China. They’ve included a CR2032 battery and installed it (very nice of them). You remove the pull tab (think Tamagotchi) to activate. On first power, I received a low battery alert and it turned off. I thought, “bummer, maybe the tab slipped out, and drained the battery”. Then I opened the battery compartment and realized the battery was very cold (low temperature minimizes battery performance). I allowed the battery to warm up for a little bit and was rewarded when the device turned on with no battery alert. If you receive it in cold weather, allow it to warm up first before running to the store for a battery, or filing an RMA. The scale has 2 buttons with 4 functions. Each button has a short-press and a long press function. Both buttons are clearly marked, and it took me less than 5 seconds to figure out which press did what. The scale auto zeroes, although a quick press on the rightmost button will do a manual zero-out. A long press of the same button will do a power off. A quick press of the left button will change the unit, they offer the most popular units, lbs/oz, ml, and grams. A long press on the left button will allow you to tare the scale to an object placed on it. This feature is very useful in the kitchen, and it’s not often that a regular object will be placed on it. It is most likely to be used to measure coffee, flour, and other cooking goods, which requires the use of a holding container. I did a few quick tests on it. The scale appears to be quite accurate, coming to the gram of a known object weight (in this case an 85g kit-kat bar). I attempted to measure a soda but quickly realized, without pouring it out of the can, adjusting the tare and pouring it back into the can, the weight would be off the known mark. I might same that test for another day. Overall, I’m quite pleased- Greater Goods has again produced a quality product at a value price (not a value product!).

Much better than the plastic version
I've tried the all plastic version of this scale and it's definitely worth the upgrade to get steel. Frankly I don't really care what material the surface is made out of (as long as it's easy enough to keep clean). But the buttons on the steel scale are much better than the buttons on the plastic scale. It's a night and day difference in usability. The buttons on the plastic scale do not click. And that combined with the fact that the buttons are on the actual weighing surface make it difficult to tell if your input has been received and if the scale is zeroing properly. This one makes it very clear and it feels much nicer to use. Aside from the much improved buttons, the SS top is easier to clean as well. This scale is nice and thin and it's easy to throw in a backpack. I wish it took AAA batteries instead of button cell, but I guess that's a tradeoff that comes with the slim size. Zero functionality works great as does unit switching. I personally think it's really dumb that a scale has a ml measurement (it's the exact same reading as grams and is meant to measure ml of water or something water based since water has a density of 1. It will not work accurately for oil or other liquids with different densities from water). So if I had any feedback, it would be that I'd like to see this take AAA and would like to see the ml measurement removed because it's kind of stupid.

Bad design
The scale is much smaller than I expected it to be but that's fine, makes it easier to store. It works well and it's easy to use. The only thing I don't like about it is that once the battery is used up the only way to change it would be to remove the WHOLE backing of the scale. Which will probably result in damaging something inside. Regardless, for a battery operated article it should be possible to either recharge the battery or change it out without taking the whole thing apart!!!
