Did not understand what I was buying, so maybe we could assist other future buyers. Yes, this is a quilt, but is of the thinner variety and more of a "bedspread" type of thing. Colors are very vibrant and looked great as I placed it on a rather high, double sized, log framed bed. I only run sheets and quilt/cover. All year around. Here was the problem: My sheets are kinda silky and this unit slid around all over the place. It would just not stay in place. Solution might have been in placing a thicker blanket in between, in order to create friction for holding in place. It is my opinion one would need this arrangement in Winter as well, as this is not the warm type cover without another blanket added. Thought about a 4 star rating but this would be a bit misleading. The unit is very nice quality, fit for purpose, and looked fantastic on a pine log bed. Perhaps we could call it a 4 star buyer and a 5 star item. Yes, let's do that.

This bedspread and sham set are gorgeous and fit very well with our western art and calfskin rug in the room of our newly remodeled home. The colors are unbelievable and stitching is precise. In all my years of purchasing bed sets, this is clearly my favorite, and would buy another one in a heartbeat.
