Portable, easy to use and reliable
I recently picked up the HOZO M-Cube Laser Measuring Tool, and I have to say, it’s been a game-changer for me. As someone who lives alone, I often find myself needing to take measurements for various projects around the house, and using a traditional tape measure for larger distances was always a hassle. This little device has made things so much easier. The laser is incredibly bright and visible, even in outdoor lighting, which was a big plus for me. I’ve used it to measure everything from room dimensions to furniture spacing, and the accuracy has been spot on—down to ±1/16 inch, which is more than enough for my needs. Switching between metric and imperial units is seamless, and I love that it can calculate area, volume, and even Pythagorean measurements with just a few clicks. While I haven’t used the Bluetooth app much, the tool itself is straightforward and intuitive to use without it. It’s compact, rechargeable, and feels well-built. I will say, if you’re a professional who needs ultra-precision or advanced features, this might not be your top choice. But for DIY projects, home use, or even small-scale tasks, it’s more than sufficient. Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase. It’s saved me time and frustration, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, easy-to-use measuring tool.

DO NOT BUY!!
I would give negative (-5) stars if I could. We used this one to measure our windows to order blinds. We lost a few thousand dollars because wrong measurement!!! We could not put these blinds up cause it wouldn’t fit! With tape measure(we didn’t have it at the first time cause we just moved and barely have anything inside our house) , it is about 1/4” different. What should I do with these wrong size blind and who would pay for this? Please be aware people, this is trash!

Save your money unless all you want is literally a laser measure.
Don't bother buying this for all the gimmick things it claims it does or for the accessories. Firstly, the application is near useless, as is the integration with the joystick accessory. It's insanely basic drawing app and lacks most every feature you need to correct any errors, see what you're drawing, or draw anything in the first place. I've spent the last 2 days trying to use this thing and the various accessories to draw up even 1 room. My initial goal was to draw my small apartment, but that proved impossible, so I toned down my goal to be able to just draw 1 room, with a level of accuracy so the drawing could actually be used for something, nothing crazy, just usable. NOPE! Windows and doors don't automatically attach to the walls you try and place them on. Door swings can't be changed easily, returns on doors or windows can't be specified, you just have to go.. that looks about right. Seriously! All the YouTube shill videos are just that, shill. None of them have even really tried to use the thing. At best you could produce a drawing you could print out, that looked similar, so you could go back to the job and measure it all again, then come back to the office and draw it all again in a decent program. It really is a joke. You could draw a box, but that's it, anything else is not worth the time it takes to do, or use.

nice little device
This high-tech laser measuring device is pretty impressive. The first thing that blew me away is how tiny and compact it is – perfect for slipping into my pocket or tool bag. There are a few cool features like measuring distance and checking levels, which have been super handy for my home projects. However, I did notice it was slightly off when switching measurements from the front to the back of the device. It’s a minor quirk, but something to keep in mind. One thing I wish it had is a nice case to protect it. It feels a bit vulnerable without one, especially given its small size. Overall, I'm really happy with it. It's been a great addition to my toolkit and makes measuring so much easier.

Documentation needs improvement
I've been using the HOZO M-Cube Pro Laser Measuring Tool for tasks like hanging pictures, mirrors, and installing shelves. The modular design allows for attaching different components, such as the bilateral laser module, which has been particularly helpful for ensuring accurate measurements and alignments. The device feels sturdy, and the magnetic locking mechanism makes swapping modules straightforward. The Bluetooth connectivity with the accompanying app is a useful feature, allowing me to record measurements digitally, which helps keep track of dimensions without relying on paper notes. However, I did notice that the user manual could be more detailed, especially regarding the app's functionalities. Overall, it's a solid tool that has made my home projects more manageable, but there's room for improvement in documentation.

Not bad but could be better
I thought this would be a good u it to have in the truck but I’m not happy with the way it works. I may have a faulty unit but the screen is not very responsive. Nothing like a phone or tablet screen. Multiple presses do t seem to register, scrolling sometimes works and sometimes don’t. It’s frustrating to use. Also it would have been nice if it come with a carrying case at this cost. It’s accurate compared with my Bosch. Pretty much within a 32nd of each other so acceptable accuracy. I like the USB C charging and it’s nice and compact. Overall not a bad laser measuring tool but the touch screen lets it down.

Toy
Complete trash for me. I bought it only because I need a digital level for laser vacuum base from the same company. But their level has an accuracy tolerance of up to 1 inch over 6 feet.

Fancy, but not terribly useful
Feels good in the hand. Small. Recharges quickly. Screen is clearly readable. That's the positives out of the way. Fundamentally, this device must be able to measure distance accurately. But as others have pointed out, it's a bit off the mark. By comparison against a competitor and a humble measuring tape, I found this device to be off by about 10 mm, erring too long. That's more than a quarter of an inch. While it does have a calibration slider in its settings menu, the value can't go high enough to offset the error. The other thing is that a touch-screen measuring device sounds nice in theory, and the number of options and functions this device offers are quite nifty. But the touch-screen responsiveness is slow, so you find yourself having to exercise patience navigating the menus. The lack of buttons becomes a bug, not a feature. The app that pairs with this device is also a little rough around the edges. The Meazor app does let you check for firmware updates. But it doesn't actively communicate with the M-Cube while trying to measure a room. You have to create the room by hand in the Meazor app, then "push" the length measurement to the app with a button on the M-Cube. It's pretty crude. Note that I did not evaluate any of its other functions besides simple length.

Magic Cube
This tiny device is amazing. It measures, as well as finding angles and calculating volumes. It can also connect to other modules for enhanced features. It uses a green laser, which is bright and can measure much further than my old one. The screen is a touchscreen and it pretty responsive. Usage is straightforward, and you can set it to measure from the front, or rear of the cube. It also connects to a phone using Bluetooth and transfers measurements directly onto drawn plans (using the mezor app). Charging is straightforward using the enclosed USB-C cable, with a charging light on the front of the cube. Everything works really well. It isn't cheap at £109 (at the time of review) but it is a quality package that is definitely useful.

Much better cheaper options
Instructions woefully inadequate, spent half the evening trying to work out how it works, with the use of chat gpt, and got nowhere. Should have bought a £15 version which basically does the same thing given how complicated it is to use the features this product claims to have. Avoid.

Has great potential, but is held back by mediocre software.
The cube is pretty compact and has a screen that very closely resembles the Apple Watch (non Ultra models). What I like: + Loads of functions. + Can pair with a mobile app to store and visualise all the data. + Nice big screen - easy to read and gets plenty bright. + Very compact and lightweight. + Long battery life. + USB-C charging. + I managed to achieve accuracy of +/- 1mm, but note I had to play around a lot with it to calibrate it. + Supports firmware updates through the app, there even was a pending one, which I installed. Hopefully future updates will make the device better. What I do not like: - The software needs a lot of work. The device itself is controlled mostly through the capacitive touch screen. It has just two physical buttons, one is basically the on/off, the other is to save/capture the current measurement. The graphical interface is quite laggy and generally annoying to use. Sometimes I try to scroll and it instead clicks some function. When I flick to scroll, sometimes it scrolls a fair amount, sometimes it barely moves. - The device came with horrendous accuracy, it was whole centimetres off even on measurements below 1 meter. Tried it on various surface and with various lighting conditions. It should have come calibrated from the factory, especially at this budget. There are calibration settings, but they are quite vague, so you need to trial and error your way to an accurate reading, and even more annoyingly - the calibration settings are buried as far away as possible in the menus. Weirdly, the calibration settings weren't in their "0" state, so it looked like it had come pre-calibrated, but it was actually way off. - No carrying case to protect the screen and lens, not even a rubber flap on the USB-C port. Apparently this is more of a tech product than a tool to help you get your work done. - The phone app is fairly basic and unpolished... It can pair with the Cube, but it can't change any of its settings or control it, you have to fiddle with the Cube's screen and buttons. Why? - The calibration is basically two sliders, none of which is mentioned or explained in the manual I got, so I had to trial and error my way. I had to change one of them to the lowest possible setting to get accurate results, which makes me worried that the variability in their manufacturing might actually be wider than the software can accommodate for. I was lucky and apparently managed to get reasonably good results, but what if I needed to offset a bit more? An example of how annoying the graphical interface is: To get to the calibration settings, you have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the menu, occasionally clicking instead of scrolling, go into settings, then swipe to the side, again occasionally clicking instead of scrolling, and select another settings-type looking icon to get to the calibration page. After you've made your change, you have to scroll down, occasionally changing a slider for the calibration instead of scrolling, to get to a "back" button. Basically, one page is a list, another is swiping side to side... On one page you go back by swiping up, on another you scroll down to see a "back" button. There's zero consistency! And the whole UI is constantly very choppy and misrecognises swipes as clicks. Overall, it can be a handy tool, but it depends on being more convenient than the alternatives... And sadly, the user experience is pretty annoying at the moment. I feel like this type of device has to be consistently solid right out of the box, otherwise you start doubting the quality of the device, and thus the consistency of its accuracy... And if you have to regularly double-check its measurements using alternative tools - what's the point of this device?
