Reliable, Clear, and Very Capable for the Price
The Baofeng F22 FRS Walkie Talkies are a solid choice if you want dependable communication without getting into the complexity of GMRS licensing or ham radio programming. They’re compact, lightweight, and deliver clear audio even in areas where cell service drops out. For everyday use: RV travel, road trips, events, camping, or coordinating around the property. They perform well above their price. 👍 What Stands Out - Clear audio quality — Voices come through crisp and loud, even with some background noise in moderate distance in hilly terrain. - Good real‑world range — While few FRS radios perform at the “advertised” miles, these perform well in neighborhoods, campgrounds, and wooded areas. - Rechargeable convenience — USB‑C charging is a huge plus though the option is there to use AA batteries instead of the included lithium battery pack if you wish. - Simple operation — Channel selection and volume are fairly straight forward, however, the function buttons are dual function depending on whether the Menu button is first pressed. - Solid build — They feel sturdy without being heavy, and the buttons have a nice tactile click. - Works with other FRS radios — Works with Midland, Motorola, and other FRS units on matching channels/tones. 👎 Things to Keep in Mind - Like all FRS radios, range depends on terrain—don’t expect miles in dense urban areas severe mountains. - The belt clips are decent but not heavy‑duty. - No removable antenna (FRS rules), so you can’t upgrade range with aftermarket antennas. 🧰 Bottom Line The Baofeng F22 is a great all‑around FRS radio: clear audio, dependable performance, easy charging, and simple controls. If you want a reliable communication tool for travel, events, or daily use without dealing with licensing or programming, these are an excellent value.

Good value
These are excellent walkies, especially for under $20. Got these to use on camping trips where we don't have any cell service. I easily got 1/2-3/4 of a mile of range in a wooded area. Didn't test them at ranges further than that but at those ranges the audio was still extremely clear and easy to hear. Adjusting the various settings can be slightly confusing. Using the included manual, it took me maybe 10 minutes to adjust everything I wanted and set up several channels with privacy codes. The included rechargeable battery life is excellent. Having used them over period of 4 days they are still showing full charge. The option to also run on AA's is great if you're going to be off grid with no means to recharge. The volume goes way higher than I can foresee needing (which isn't a bad thing) They are perfectly audible on the lowest 1-3 volume settings, at least in an environment without a lot of background noise. They are light weight and the belt clip is well designed/works great with good retention. Overall exceeded expectations and worked flawlessly.

Good quality sound and decent distance
NIce walkie talkies , sounds good and decent distance. The only reason i don’t give them 5 stars is due to the batteries I charge them up and in a week not even using them I find the batteries dead?

Bang for the buck.
I just want to say I purchased these for my son to use on sale for a whopping 11 bucks. For that price they have really surprised me. I tell my son to keep one on him when he plays in the neighborhood with his buddies, I can easily reach him anywhere in the neighborhood from down in my basement apartment. Had him take one to school today which is about quarter mile away, lots of houses between here and there and we were able to communicate very clearly at that range. They are inherently loud, even with the volume tuned all the way down. Good for rowdy kids. My only complaint is the user interface is a little clumsy but easy enough once you've played with them a bit. I am able to talk to my son from aby of my GMRS radios which is nice. I plan to buy more for my son to give his friends in town so they can all do fun walkie talkie boy stuff and leave the smartphones at home. As it should be.

Great value
They are nice radios and a good value for $20. The manual is detailed, but may be hard to follow for someone unfamiliar with the technology. They are a little loud-even at the low volume level, so a headset may be desirable in some situations. I have tested them only out to about 1/4 mile so far through some tree cover. They appear to do fine. For some reason, the weather radio and privacy codes do not appear to be working, but I have not spent much time testing them, and they are not critical functions for me.

Good product
We use this product on our cruise trip. Did very well. So far never met the too-far disconnect issue. We also tested in city, 12 levels floor, which works very clearly.

Battery has to be recharged to offen.
Poor battery charge life but good audio and build. Odd size battery makes it expensive to replace. I do not recommend due to battery issues. Update: These radios appear to consume battery power when they are turned off. Maybe some memory retaining function? As a test I fully charged the radios and let them sit (turned off) for 24 hours. I then put them back on charge and they charged for hours although they had not been used. These radios have serious power management issues. I will be returning! After testing I'm changing my review from 3 stars to 1 star. SELLER did all they could to correct the issue but nothing helped. I would purchase from seller again.
