Samsung M471A1K43CB1-CTD 8GB DDR4 PC4-21300, 2666MHZ, 260 PIN SODIMM, 1.2V, CL 19 laptop ram memory module

Installed this in my DS224+ and booted the NAS. I checked the resource monitor and I still had only 2gb of memory. I figured I received a DOA memory stick that I would have to send back. Then I remembered reading somewhere that another person had the same issue and it turned out that the memory stick wasn't seated properly. I shut down the NAS, opened it up, and removed the memory stick. Then I reinstalled it and made sure I pressed down with more force than the first time. I felt a little snap so I hoped the memory stick was seated properly now. Re-assembled the NAS and booted it up. I checked the resource monitor and tada... now it shows 10gb of memory. Has been working perfectly for a week now. So, if you think you received a bad memory stick, try removing it and re-installing it like I did.

Easy to install and works as intended

Bought this to upgrade my 8 GB RAM laptop to 16 GB RAM. I made sure it was compatible/best match by first looking at the RAM already installed in the laptop. Laptop working better.

Model number matches perfectly with the RAM that came with my production unit ROG Strix Scar II. Same manufacturer, same timings and build quality, only half of what came installed. Installed in seconds and bumped my RAM size to 24GB flawlessly. Besides adding a 50% increase in memory capacity, most importantly, it allowed my MoBo to address my RAM in dual channel mode. Definitely planning to get some other more enthusiast level gear in the near future, but I'll definitely hold on to both sticks in the mean time as a backup. Solid product, stable and fast, for what it costs. If you're not using them for high end enthusiast level application, it's a perfectly adequate product.

Package is labeled M471A1K43CB1-CTD, but the memory itself is labeled M471A1K43DB1-CTD. A search for the latter brings up Samsung specs, so it looks legit, BUT the sticker on the RAM suggests this is a Canada or Europe version, so I suspect I would have trouble getting warranty support if it fails. I installed it in my Synology DS720+ NAS, ran the memory test, all good and works like a champ. The Synology does not throw any alerts about this being unsupported memory.

Perfect

Installed this module on a Lenovo mini pc that’s used to stream 4K YouTube videos, among other videos from questionable sources. Before, the videos would take a while to buffer (1Gb fiber) and in between ads, the videos would stutter. After installing this, the mini pc runs a LOT smoother and is very fast. Definitely worth it. Installation is straightforward.

It worked like a dream.
