The Handbook of Japanese Adjectives and Adverbs

This book fits nicely along with the dictionary of Japanese particles in a handbook of Japanese verbs. Plenty of good explanations and exercises along with the answers which is always helpful.

Outstanding book for beginners in learning Japanese. My understanding and ability to speak Japanese is so much better after reading this book. An absolute must have. One of the 5 best books I've ever read on learning Japanese.

I love this book, and the one on verbs by the same author. A fabulous reference, usefully exhaustive and organized in a way I have found very helpful. Japanese is never easy, but the Kamiya books have brought order into a very fuzzy universe. I constantly refer to the verb lists in the back of the verb book, and expect this book to be equally useful once I work my way through the exercises.

Japanese can be very difficult to learn. Verbs, adjectives, etc. have been a nightmare for me. However this book goes a long way to help grasp the differences and keys to understand how to memorize.

I have been studying Japanese for a long time 5+ years, but one of my greatest weeknesses is adverbs. So I bought this book due to the section that focuses on them. I would have liked for the section to be a little bigger, but I really love how the words are sorted with similar adverbs. For the time section, I especially liked how they were arranged from shortest to longest in duration. Very helpful. I also learned about a new conjugation for adjectives, and that section was a good review.

Love this book. I have both this one and The Handbook of Japanese Verbs. I wish there were just a list of adverbs and adjectives but sadly, there is not. However, this book does explain when to use what form and quite well. I suggest buying it for the serious Japanese learners out there.

J'étudie le japonais et je suis à un niveau intermédiaire. Cet ouvrage est idéal pour enrichir son vocabulaire. Il contient de nombreuses phrases exemples. La liste d'adverbes est exhaustive. À recommander à 100 %!

Absolute perfect condition. The layout is easy on the eyes and has excellent explanations and is easy to follow. A great supplement as it goes into much greater detail and teaches you the usage well whereas a dictionary may only just give you a translation.

Sehr gut aufgebaut und mit simplen Erklärungen. Was mich persönlich ein wenig stört, dem Buch aber letztendlich nichts abtut, ist die Verwendung von Romaji (nicht empfehlenswert beim lernen) und keine genaue Unterscheidung von だ und です (nicht dasselbe). Ansonsten kann ich das Buch an jeden Japanischlernenden empfehlen.

très bon produit qui cible un public faux débutant jusqu'au niv.intermédiaire. un seul bémol, les kanji pourraient être mis plus en évidence par rapport à l'écriture en romaji. je vais me procurer le "companion book" sur les verbes.
