Good solar panel, charges quickly
Effective solar panel - quickly charges battery packs in direct sunlight. It's easy to carry, folding up well and being very light. I've also used it attached over my rucksack with carabiners for power on the go, worked well!

Simple and Works
Simple, it actually works, I'm sitting in Ettrick Bay charging the phone I'm using now, yesterday I charged my Anker 737 in a few hours, no more having to go into a cafe buying a breakfast so as to plug my charger in, yeah really does work, Sunshine permitting, great job Flexsolar.

Not charged my phone or tablet on mains for 2 months.
It's amazing. I charge a battery bank in my car window while I'm at work. Normal can easily do 60% of a 20,000 battery bank in one 8 hour shift. More if I stick it to my car window in direct sunlight. I've not charged my phone or tablet by the mains for about 2 months now. So, brilliant.

Usefull gadgets but results vary on light intensity.
This worked reasonably well and charged my phone ok in bright sunlight but did take a few hours to go from 20% to full. Would expect would take longer if overcast though but as an emergency power source is a great addition to my assortment of gadgets. The build quality is quite good and I would expect it to be durable and long lasting and the supplied carabiner give the versatility of hanging it as an alternative to laying flat on a table which is how I used it laying it on the table of the balcony on a Cruise Ship. It has a USB-C and USB-A port and a small red LED that illuminates when receiving sufficient light to indicate it is charging your device but I think the two ports are to offer the option of charging either one A or C type device at a time as connecting two devices did not seem to work well. As a funny note I took this along with several other electronic devices on a flight but customs pulled me aside as they did not know what this was which was surprising.

Camping Trip.
I didnโt have a mobile phone last time I went camping 50 years ago, so didnโt need a brilliant bit of kit like this. Wish me luck with my planned camping trip in July. This is really going to help.

Surprising Result
Just charged a Samsung A53 from 59% to full in 50 minutes in South West Scotland. Used outside and tilted towards direct sunlight. Watch out for when there isn't much daylight as it then draws power out of the connected unit. Also brought a Lenovo M10 tablet up by 50% over 1.5 hours of evening sun.

Angle to the sun is important.
I can confirm that it weight 394 grams. In end of May, middle of Scandinavia with a hazy blue sky and some small passing light clouds afternoon I measured 6w around 1.7-2 amp. The panel has to be angled to the sun for optimal power output. I charged a Nitecore powerbank through USB-C around 25-30% I guess (from 1 dot to 2 dots) within 1h 30min. I think this 20w panel is a good compromise between weight and what power you get. If you are further south on the planet you might get the same power output from the flexsolar 15w panel, less weight? and smaller. The quality of the panel feels good and sturdy. I also have a 7 year old folding 24w panel with DC output. Through usb-a I got 9w more then 2 amp the same day. UPDATE: I used this panel above the Arctic pole circle middle of July to end of july. When the sun shined in the morning I placed the panel at right angle to the sun and could fully charge my powerbank in a couple of hours. I was surprised how well the panel worked. I packed it carefully and was gentle with it. The eyelets in the corners are definitely a point where wear and tare occurs. Not much on my panel but if I had hang it from my backpack I guess it would had taken a beating on those points. If there's no electronics near those eyelets corners it might not matter. Great panel and I'm keen to buy the 15w panel to use during summer hiking since this panel worked so well to save weight and space.

14W at the USB port
Most small solar panels I have ordered only delivered about 1/3 (or less) of their advertised power. For the 20W FlexSolar I measured 14W in full sun from a port advertised at 15W, and was even able to pull 1-3W in overcast/rainy conditions (plenty for a headlamp/watch/e-reader). This is much better than I expected form a panel advertised as 20W. I wish the industry would be more forthcoming on real-world performance at the USB port, but this is the best power to weight ratio I have ever seen in a "backpack" panel - one of the few panels worth carrying, and the only one that actually delivered its advertised wattage (which is 15W, NOT 20).
