Nice decorative Sand timer.
Pretty good for sand timing tech! Description says 3 minutes and this one at 16C temp at 3411 feet above sea level is 2 mins 49 seconds. Cool! The Compasses actually work and it is a very attractive little 'hour' glass. I'm very pleased with it.

For me, at just under $20 it is very nice. It was bought for my elderly father so he could time his tea bags. It was originally timed at about 5 minutes 20 ish seconds. Unscrewing the 3 decorative nuts allowed me to gain access to the glass tube. There is a hole at the bottom on one side sealed by tape. Only 3 minutes was needed. So from the unsealed(tape) side, I tipped it upright allowing sand into the sealed end. At 3 minutes I tipped it on its side, stopping the sand. I dumped the excess into a zip bag. Resealed with new scotch tape. And now it's a Classy exact 3-minute timer my father uses every day.P.S. Use a paper towel between screws and pliers as not to leave tool marks on the nuts.
