Rotary Drum Filter 3000GPH, Industrial Grade Water Filtration System

I would highly recommend after my 84-year-old mom after multiple years of screwing around with filters and cleaning them out every day or two and having her kids come over and always have to dink around with everything under the sun to keep it going nice I stumbled into this and we have been pleasantly surprised beyond belief! I would highly recommend for somebody that's looking to maintain a koi pond with ease. This is a defective product with poor engineering with no replaceable parts its design as a throw away unit. 1st one had a defective pump. Second one after 2 months pump and motor started making a loud noise and did not produce enough water spray.

Bought this for my koi pond and regret it. Setup was a headache, had to purchase extra fittings and piping just to connect it to my system. Spent another $40 on parts that should've been included. The filtration is disappointing. Water clarity improved slightly at best, nowhere near what I expected for a 3000GPH filter. The "self-cleaning" backwash feature wastes a ton of water daily, which defeats the purpose. Build quality feels cheap, flimsy plastic housing and thin mesh screen. For this price, I expected much better performance and compatibility. Would not buy again.

The unit waste a lot of water. However you can prevent water waste by attaching a water trap or a gravity filter before returning the water to the pond. As well, the pvc plumbing is metric, making it necessary to use rubber fittings to adapt to standard US measure pvc pipes. Also, I devised a water capture device that traps the outflow slug before sending the outflow back to the koi pond.

Keeping my koi pond sparkling clean has always been a chore, constantly messing with filters and screens. I decided to finally upgrade to a rotary drum filter system, and I'm so glad I did. This unit, with its 3000 GPH capacity, is perfectly sized for my setup and has made a huge difference. The biggest draw for me was the fully automatic self-cleaning feature. It monitors the filter and triggers a cleaning cycle on its own, which is just incredible. No more pulling out dirty filter pads or brushes every few days. It handles the load effortlessly, removing fine particles I didn't even realize were there, keeping the water consistently clear without me having to lift a finger for daily maintenance. Since getting it installed (which wasn't too bad, though it's definitely a project), the water quality in the pond is noticeably better. The fish seem happier, and I have so much more free time not constantly dealing with filter upkeep. If you're tired of manual filter cleaning for your pond, aquarium, or even a larger aquaculture setup, one of these is seriously worth considering. It's a significant investment, but the time and effort it saves, plus the consistent water clarity, makes it pay for itself in peace of mind.

Once you get your flow balanced the unit works great. Had an issue with the cleaning pump, but the seller took care of the problem. Great service and support.

Nightmare delay at customs, couldn't get any answers from amazon or the carrier, then it just turned up, several days late but I got it. AND IT'S BRILLIANT !

The highest flow rate i can get through the filter is 3000 lph and not 3000 gph as stated, the power leads are really short and the 24v conection to the controller is not water proof. All that being said it works well on my 12000 ltr pond the water clarity is amazing. You pay for what you get it's cheep but works.
