This slices potates nice, and thin for scalloped potatoes. The safety guide is a must so you don't cut yourself. It's very sharp. It just slips a bit. You need to hold the top while slicing. It has a container that the vegetables , or cheese go into. Making it convenient. Great product!

I have only used the 1 blade slicer so far it is extremely sharp and cleans up easy. The holder that comes with to hold the veggy etc. works great too and don't use it without the holder.

This product is absolutely NOT dishwasher safe. On the top rack, first use, and it’s completely ruined.

Blades are sharp. Easiest to use with its container. A good variety of blades/grater options.

my two cons which required me to return the mandoline were ... 1. the food holder doesn't work well, actually not at all, with thin width vegetables such as zucchini. does work well with wider veggies such as tomatoes or potatoes. so i found it a little difficult to make zucchini spaghetti. out of fear for my fingers i could not shred the last third of the zucchini. 2. the slicer and the bin do not hook well together. my slicer kept slipping off the bin. i had to slice with the left hand and hold with the right. one other note, the box is packed in a bubble envelope. this is not very good protection (see picture). the corner of my box was really smashed in and it's just lucky the mandolin did not break in shipping.

Been looking for this and very happy w.it so far. Especially like it for veggies for when I make salads, soups or stews. Fun to use.
