Great product! Packaged extremely well, quick shipping. I’ve been using one copper disc in each of my birdbaths and it has been amazing at keeping algae away! The discs are small, cute in appearance and seem to hold up well. I’ve been consistently using these since I purchased in July. It’s been ridiculously hot this summer (Zone 7a) and this has such a help in keeping the birdbaths clean from slime and algae. I will note that I still rinse and refill water each day. Highly recommend

These discs worked great for my two bird baths and my outdoor fountain. I was a sceptic that they would keep my water clean but they did. Wow! Highly recommend them.

This little disc actually works!!!!! I have a ceramic bird bath that always gets slimy and the water gets cloudy and gross. I cleaned the bird bath really good, filled it with clean water and put this disc in. Amazing!!!! The water has stayed clear for days!!! I did refresh the water after a week or more but only because the water was warm and I wanted to birda to have cool water to play in! Definitely a worth while purchase!!!!!

i lightly washed out my concrete birdbath just using the hose a couple of weeks before adding one of these copper cleaning disks. to my amazement, two days later the water and bowl were noticeably more clear/clean! i'm very pleased with the copper disks with the cute sunflower logo...my only concern now is that the crows don't haul these shiny disks off! buy these!

The copper disk definitely helps keep the water cleaner — like, it slows down the slime, the funk, and whatever mysterious bird soup forms in there. But let’s be real: it does NOT clean all the water. You still gotta roll up with your scrub brush like you’re doing a tiny spa day for birds. The copper is legit, the disc is sturdy, and it does reduce buildup. It just doesn’t replace actual cleaning unless your birds are unusually tidy (mine are not). So yeah: helpful, but not a miracle. Rating: 4/5 — great assist, but you’re still scrubbing like a medieval peasant.

I bought one of these without much hope of decreasing algae and I was amazed. I never get the build up anymore. I was so impressed, I just bought another one.

Algae in our fountains was terrible and always came back quickly after cleaning them. We have had the copper discs in our 2 fountains for a month. We’ve had 90 degree temps and both fountains water are crystal clear!!!!! I didn’t think they would work but I was wrong. What a miraculous product! Highly recommend!

I’ve only had these Mellbree copper discs in my birdbath for about a month, and they’re definitely doing something. The water stays cleaner for longer, and I’m not seeing as much buildup as before, which is nice. But let’s be real — it doesn’t magically clean everything. You still get some stuff settling at the bottom, and it’s not like the birdbath suddenly becomes self‑maintaining. It helps, but it’s not a full‑on “never scrub again” situation. For the price, it’s solid, especially since you get two discs and they’re pure copper. Just don’t expect it to replace actual cleaning. Bottom line: Good helper, not a full solution. Worth it, but not mind‑blowing.

I’m not sure how or why - but this copper medallion is definitely making a difference in our bird bath. You still have to clean debris that falls in, but the cleanliness of both the concrete and the water are improved. This is how our water looks 5 days after putting in the medallion….
