Worth it in my opinion!
Definitely worth getting. I was out camping with no running water and brought this to use for dishes and a quick head rinse. One the first night my 19 lb rat terrier rolled in something horrendously stinky and had to give her a bath. This worked perfectly! I was able to wash her with less water than I expected. Having to two flow options was really helpful, especially when rinsing the soap out. Not sure how long it will last but even this one trip was worth the cost. I had to attach it to the car headrest to hang while traveling in the car because it leaked at the fill valve when I laid it flat.

Terrible design of opening, but works great
This unit is exactly what you think it is. With it raised high enough, the water comes out strong and consistent. It's not cheaply made even though it's plastic. But the opening to fill it needs a redesign. You have to put your finger inside because the screw on top is not attached, so it pulls off. There is a plastic ring to keep it on when you completely unscrew it, but it can't take any force of pulling on it to open up the bag. You see, the front and back sides kinda stick together, and when you refil, the water splashes off the inside backside. So you need to separate and there is nothing to hold onto except the lip. Therefore you have a puzzle to solve: one hand for holding it up in the air, one hand for the hose/faucet and what do you use to pull open the mouth? If you lie it down, the water goes everywhere.... There needs to be a grip near this opening to hold it open when you pour water in.

Excellent Product for the Price
I ordered the Sapsisil 5 gallon shower bag to use while primitive camping for washing hands, rinsing dishes, and an occasional warm shower. The test of this bag I did prior to actually using it in the field revealed the following: Capacity - Although it is listed as a 5 gallon capacity bag, I was only comfortable filling it up to about 2" below the fill spout (when standing upright) to allow room for air expansion as the water heated up. This allowed 28 pounds of water, which is only 3-1/2 gallons, about the max I want to lift above my head to hang from a branch. Don't expect to put anymore than 4 gallons in this bag. Sturdiness - The bag and handle are very sturdy, much so than other shower bags I've used. The handle strap supports the bag through a piece of 1/2" PVC pipe rather than attaching directly to the bag itself. The strap handle is a wide cushioned piece which makes it easier to carry a full bag and lift, and the buckle on the strap lets you hang the bag on a closed end support (or a long limb). Water Tightness - After connecting the silicone hose to the bag outlet and the shower head to the hose, the bag did not drip or leak water at all. The fill cap is a little finicky and takes a little bit to get used to making sure it is threaded on straight, but it is also water tight when fully threaded. Hose and Shower Head - The outlet connection at the bag did not leak, and the shower head did not leak when hung under the bag. The pressure of the shower head will be a function of how high you hang the bag, with the maximum pressure being the shower head below the bag outlet. It is adequate and expected pressure. Odor - I expected the silicone hose to have a strong odor, but there was no smell that I could detect. The bag also did not have any noticeable plastic odor. Temperature - I filled the bag with tap water and hung up in the early morning sunlight as I intend to do when camping. I recorded the ambient temperature every hour along with the bag temperature using a hand held thermal scanner. Results, full sun, 6 hours 44 deg F temp rise 7:45AM, ambient temp 64 deg F, water temp 64 deg F 1:45PM, ambient temp 90 deg F, water temp 104.5 deg F The temperature sticker gauge on the back side of the bag did read 104F with the handheld digital thermal scanner reading 104.5F so the bag gauge is accurate. Overall Rating of the 5 Gallon Sapsisil - Excellent purchase for a very good price. Temperature rise in full sun was a lot better than expected.

Total Waste of Money – Leaks, Warps, and Useless in Heat
I had high hopes for this solar shower, but it turned out to be a complete disappointment. The lid started leaking after just one use, and the build quality is terrible. The threads on the filler neck are made of such cheap plastic that they warped in the sun — yes, the solar shower can’t handle sunlight without breaking. Once warped, it never seals properly again, leading to constant leaks. I tried laying the unit on a warm rock to heat up — as you’d expect to do when camping — and it leaked all over, losing most of the water in minutes. This defeats the entire purpose of the product. What's the point of a solar shower that can't withstand heat or lie flat? Complete waste of money. Do yourself a favor and skip this one — poor design, flimsy materials, and it fails at the one job it’s supposed to do.

Camping shower bag
This worked great! I hung it on the ladder on the back of my camper, where the sun warmed it each day. It was used for washing hands and washing hair. Plenty of water to wash and rinse hair.
