Review: Awesome If Mounted Properly - I watched a video on YouTube showing how to remove the rotation limiter blocks from inside the lens and reassemble it (easier than it sounds!) which allows you to screw the glass elements all the way down into the lens body. I then mounted with a Leica/M39 > E adapter to remove a lot of the vignetting and allow this vintage half-frame lens to cover my APS-C sensor more completely than just using the adapter. The result is a hyper-focal lens with adjustable aperture. The glass on the Industar-69 loves creative styles on my Sony ฮฑ6300, especially Sepia and Rich B&W. The Warhol-esque collage of the house showcases how the Industar-69 treats Retro, Rich B&W, Sepia and Watercolor styles. On APS-C the Industar-69 28mm f/2.8 has a 35mm film equivalent focal length of 42mm, the definitive "standard" lens length which yields a very satisfying aesthetic to the images produced. Review: the image quality is pretty damn nice - I've heard this lens was a gem, and it still managed to completely surprise me. For something that is essentially two pieces of metal sandwiching some glass, the image quality is pretty damn nice. That being said, you have to be willing to modify the lens a bit. I had heard that you had to remove the limiter screws (easy enough, took ~ 3 minutes) but what I did not know going in to it was that, in order to achieve infinity focus, I needed to file down a portion of the lens. done easily enough with trial and error. It helps that if you fudge it up you've only really lost about 20 dollars.

Has potential to be a super fun lens
Using Fuji xe2s, The adapter must be too thick for this to work properly. Cannot focus outssde of 3 feet. Going to try to find thinner adapters to bring it closer to the sensor. Google how to obtain infinity focus on these lenses, that is a for sure must. Has potential to be a super fun lens. The bokeh looks really cool.

Love it!
The lens is exactly what I ordered, came only a 5 days later than the estimated time frame, and I really just can't wait to start using it! If you're looking for a USSR lens, this would be the company I would want to go through again!
