I'll start by telling you, I was an acrylic junkie starting back in 1990 and wore acrylic nails consistently until last fall. About 5 years ago I switched to the powder and then to gel nails shortly after that. After all those years of fake nails, without a break, plus I am a picker of nails when they feel like they're lifting. If all 10 nails lasted 2 full weeks I was lucky. I usually couldn't help myself and picked them off completely before going back to the salon. It was so embarrassing. My nail beds were in shambles, they were thinner than paper. After I stopped the fake nails, tasks like folding clothes were a pain, they snagged my clothing, were sensitive under warm water, and just a mess. I bit my nails to the quicks. I was wearing gloves to try and stop, and to hide my hideous fingers. I can't wear polish, even nail strengthener polish would be picked off within 3 days. I needed something I couldnt pick off, that would heal my super damaged nails, and I almost gave up. I was thinking about going back to the salon, and dreaded it, since I'm low on cash. Then I saw this product, read some reviews, and bought a jar. What a lifesaver this product has been for me. I didn't notice anything the 1st week, but I liked the gentle moisturizing feeling and the light scent. Man! In 3 weeks I started noticing my nail beds were healing. The rough scaley look was smoothing over. The peeling stopped. The sensitivity was gone. Now a tiny bit of white at the tips are growing out and I can feel them getting stronger. I am so thrilled! I have hope now that I can grow my nails out. No snagging anymore and no hiding my hands. Best yet, when I want to pick or bite my nails, I reach for my jar and start rubbing my nails with this awesome balm. I've only been using it 4 weeks, and wish I had before pics. I'll never go without it, it saved me a ton of money too, no salon visits ever again!!

I have been using this on my nails and cuticles for a little over a week and already see a huge difference! My nails were dried out, brittle, peeling, tearing, and paper thin, now they look and feel hydrated, and are starting to feel stronger. A little goes a long way and it smells great! I had multiple friends recommend this to me for my thin brittle nails. I bought it in fragrance free and cherry almond. I thought it was going to be a little tub but was pleasantly surprised at the large size. It only takes a small dab of cream so one tub should last a long time. I feel it has helped my nails more than any other nail treatment I've tried (and I've tried a lot.) I was annoyed that when I was trying to purchase it, I couldn't easily find an ingredient list (I have a lot of allergies to H&B products so I need to know what's in them before I purchase.) It is rather "greasy" so it needs a few min of dry in time before I touch anything otherwise I leave residue on whatever I've touched.

I have had problematic splitting nails for many years and this is the first product that has made a difference! Have tried all kinds of nail oils and other lotions, even vaseline. Nothing really helped. But this cream has helped my worst nail to heal. It was cracking vertically (from the outer tip halfway down to the nail bed) and becoming very painful. I rub this cream in several times a day (especially after getting my hands wet) and I saw a visible difference in just a couple of weeks. It's now almost healed, but I'll continue to use the cream to prevent future issues. It's a very pleasant cream (I got the unscented) and it rubs in very easily; does not leave a greasy or oily feeling because absorbs really well. My only complaint is that it comes in a tub and you have to put your finger into the tub to swipe out some cream. This is not as sanitary or easy compared to a squeezable tube.

I’ve struggled with brittle, peeling nails for a long time, but this cream is a game-changer. It truly delivers on its promises. My nails feel significantly stronger, harder, and they no longer break at the slightest touch. The quality is exceptional, and it absorbs quickly without being greasy. Highly recommend!

Would have had 5 stars...but they used WAAAAY too much stearic acid to the point where its pick up the product to get any on your finger. You literally have to dig with a small spatula or spoon to get any out of the jar. Also for nail strengthening as well as helping with annoying ridges.....WHY WHY WHY did your contract manufacturer's R&D chemist not add any Neonyca from Sederma/Croda??? Its clinically proven to be effective against breakage and gets rid of ridges over time with the new growth! Also, you "label claimed" the very ingredients you highlighted! I see they're listed AFTER Phenoxyethanol, which is always used at less than 1%. Meaning any efficacious ingredients are barely in the formula, if at all! So you charge that much for essentially coconut oil, water, and waxes. I bet your margins are high on this one! Wow. Will not be purchasing again. Highly disappointed for overpriced coconut oil thats just overly thickened with wax to the point where yoh need an object to dig any out. Score of ZERO for whatever contract manufacturer and chemist that formulated this cheap crap.

My nails have been getting brittle due to medication and I saw this nail cream recommend for just that. I've been using other nail oils that left my nails and fingers feeling greasy. This cream is amazing. It absorbs into my nails and skin beautifully leaving me with a smooth, freshly moisturized feeling. And the coconut smell....oh...it's light, delicious, divine. I love it. I'll have to come back after some time to update the review with results of using it. But right now, after 2-3 days of use, I'd recommend it.

I love this stuff! Easy to use, has already helped improve my nail strength and cuticle health after two weeks. I work with kids and in a pool often, which makes nail health a challenge but this stuff has really shown up. You don't need a lot, the small jar will last a long time. Smells like summer!

I began using hard as hoof in September 2023. Others here say they saw results in as little as a week or 2, but once nails have grown you cannot thicken them, you have to wait for new regrowth. However if used daily in 1-2 weeks you can definitely notice a difference to your cuticles, they’ll be less dry and you’ll notice very few to no hangnails. As I’ve been using it for 9 months now my nails have now grown all the way out at least twice. Along with taking a biotin supplement daily for the past 6 months and fish oil capsules, (so it may be all 3 working together not just hoof) my nails are much much thicker than they ever have been. They used to be extremely flexible and susceptible to tearing, and now I rarely ever get a tear or break no matter how small. This is also helped by keeping my nails filed in a rounded shape and avoiding using clippers, just a glass file. All in all hard as hoof probably does great for moisturising and preventing breakage on its own but potentially combining it with biotin and fish oil can lead to even more excellent results, just a tip! But even without the supplements I 100% recommend. I have been using it at least twice a day.

Excellent for splitting nails and painful nails. Both my toe nails and finger nails were splitting vertically. (2 years of this problem) They were very painful and I was having to cut them very low but they still carried on splitting lower and lower to the point I had go to the gp, which still didn’t help. After spending a fortune on various hand-creams and oils, vaseline hand and nail cream helped, but the addition of hard of hoof has been amazing. No more splitting and I have strong nails after a week. It is worth every penny for me and I will carry on using it forever now. Buy some…

My nails have never been in fantastic shape but after I wore acrylic nails for a year in high school (15 years ago) they have just been super thin and brittle since - pile on top of that working in a factory and I just never really had nails - they were always chipped and ALWAYS peeling. I used this twice a day everyday for about a month maybe 2 and then would forget here and there so it got put on whenever I remembered - but have to say my nails are 2000% better than they were before - still thin but I think that's just what I got dealt for nails - very few chips and no more peeling and tons of length (for my nails) and it smells fantastic to boot
