WITH 90% OF TOP PERFORMERS HIGH IN EQ, AND EQ TWICE AS IMPORTANT AS IQ IN GETTING WHERE YOU WANT TO GO IN LIFE, CAN YOU AFFORD TO IGNORE IT? Review: Best EQ Test I've Taken. Practical Strategies!! - The New Emotional Intelligence is exactly what I was hoping for from Dr. Travis Bradberry. It's a clear, approachable guide packed with practical strategies you can start applying immediately. Bradberry has a unique gift for turning complex psychological concepts into down-to-earth tools that actually stick. What stood out most to me was the self-assessment included in the book. I’ve taken a lot of personality and EQ tests over the years, and this one is in a different league. It’s thoughtfully designed and surprisingly hard to “game,” which made the results feel more honest and more useful. The book opens with an unforgettable story about surfer Mick Fanning surviving a shark attack, and how his emotional intelligence helped him bounce back and return to peak performance. That story hooked me right away and set the tone for the rest of the book: real people, real challenges, and EQ strategies that help you rise above. If you’re looking to better understand your emotions, navigate tough moments, and build stronger relationships (without wading through academic jargon), this book delivers. Review: Great Book! - Love this book! Great every day tips.

Every person should learn about Emotional Intelligence!
I wish everyone would learn about emotional intelligence. I read his earlier book Emotional Intelligence 2.0. This is more in depth, but the earlier book is a very easy read. Learn how to self evaluate and make adjustments. Learn how to socially read others and respond appropriately. "Read the room" and adapt socially. IMHO, our world would be a far more peaceful and pleasant place if people would be more emotionally intelligent. This should be a required class in high school! Tik Tok would be out of business lol!

Informative! Deep!
Great book! Not for everyone though in my opinion. If you aren't an emotional intelligence junkie, don't start here. That said, I loved it!
