We’ve been using these Hot Dots flash cards with my 3-year-old and he loves them. The pen is easy to use and makes it feel like a game, so he stays focused way longer than with regular flash cards. He gets really excited to see the green light when he gets one right and doesn’t get upset if it turns red, he just tries again. At his age, I do read the directions on each card to him, but once he understands what to do, he can answer on his own and check himself with the pen. It’s been great for practicing letters, numbers, and counting in a hands-on way. I also love that the same pen works with the Sesame Street Big Bird Beep Book. We already had that book, so it was nice not needing a separate pen and my son was excited to use something familiar. The cards are sturdy, easy to store, and feel well made. This has become one of our go-to learning activities, especially when I want something educational but fun. Definitely recommend for younger preschoolers with a little guidance.
