Cumbersome but used properly, it’s a great product.
A great product. It’s quite cumbersome once put together but I managed fairly easily to get to the branches of two large trees and crown them out and tidy them up. The cutting action is good although the plastic leaver could, in time be the weak point in the system but it stood up to some abuse I gave it when cutting branches that I probably shouldn’t have had it cutting. Around about 45mm small branches. I did sharpen the cutting knife before using on these branches in which I feel helped with this though. But all in all, a great product, the pole despite being cumbersome is solid and strong. I did make an adjustment to how the nylon rope was put on it from factory as it was rubbing against an adjacent section of nylon near the lever which was causing friction, which could as others have pointed out, caused the rope to snap due to friction cutting through itself. But once I did that, it cut through all the branches that I needed too on two large 12m trees (one of which was an Oak) to cut the over hanging branches back. The two saws that came with it are excellent and were extremely sharp and useful for the largest of branches. I used these to cut through a third smaller tree of about eight metres to get that down to a three metre high trunk. It did exactly what I needed it to and with ease too. It’s great value for money and I can see it lasting for quite a few years if stored well for the domestic user like myself that just needs to cut the over hanging branches back once or twice a year. Overall, I would highly recommend this to friends and family but only those with the strength to use it. I’m far from Mr Universe but I found it easy to put together and use for an hour or so between breaks. Overall, I would recommend this product and quite highly too.

26ft Pole Pruning Saw Sharp, Easy-to-Use Tree Cutter with Great Reach
Used this to significantly reduce a large self-seeded ash tree in my garden that had been left to grow wild by a previous owner. The tree was close to a wall and heavily overgrown, so shaping it was a tough job. I expected a workout, and I got one, but once you understand how to guide and angle the saw, it becomes much easier than expected. The tree was taller than most typical UK housing, but I didn’t need to use the full extension. There was some flex when fully extended on the longest sections, but it was still manageable on larger branches. On smaller branches, it was very easy to control. The storage bag is decent quality, though a bit tight when packing everything back in, but it all fits reliably. The two included saw blades cut very effectively... like a knife through butter. The lopper attachment also works well, though it can be slightly awkward if you’re frequently swapping between attachments and pole sections. The rope mechanism is functional but a bit fiddly; I ended up wrapping it around my hand for quicker control instead of constantly resetting it. Good gloves are essential either way. Overall, I’m very impressed. It handled a difficult job with ease, feels solid and rugged, and is highly functional. Very happy with it.

Great, but difficult at full length.
There is no doubt that this is a well made kit and good value for money. However, unless you are very Strong and Fit, it’s difficult to operate at maximum length. But, for lower height trees it’s great using it at shorter lengths. The chord operated secateurs work particularly well.

Good value for money DIY Pruning Saw
This is a really good DIY pruning tool. I chose this particular item because of it’s reach and cutting accessories. The lance itself is robust but does wobble a bit when you need to cut at a higher level. The connection points on the shafts are only chrome plated so will probably rust in time. I sprayed WD40 in mine as a precaution and wiped down with a cloth. The saw attachment is really good and sharp. I used it to prune branches on a walnut tree and a pine tree that were growing up too close to telephone lines in the garden - a job impossible to do with a ladder. The cutting attachment with the pull cord is easy to use at low elevations, but I found it a fiddly at higher elevations trying to get to branches particularly trying to push through a tree canopy with lots of branches. Overall I am happy with this product. It is good value for money and it a good bit of kit to have just in case you need it.

Very happy with this product
Really well built product and easy to put together. Comes with extra saw blade & lopper blade. Lopper cuts through branches as thick as my thumb with ease & I have cut through branches 2 inches thick with the saw blade easily. As others have highlighted, it gets a bit difficult to wield as you extend it, but take your time and it’s easy enough. Definitely recommend this product.

Well made and functional
Excellent product, well made and saw attachment cut 100mm branches. You have to lift the poles if extended fully 26ft like holding a set of ladders as quite heavy. The weight of the poles when at full reach is an advantage as the weight aids the cutting saw to get an initial cutting grip.

Good kit but can be unwieldy at full extension
Has done the job of pruning some eucalyptus trees, quick to assemble, and much cheaper than the alternative of bringing in a tree surgeon. The only downside is at full extension it can be a bit unwieldy and takes strength to handle simply because of the weight of the loppers/saw at the end of a 26 ft pole, however I don't think there would be a way round this.

Quality pruner with great features.
Seems a really good quality bit of kit which is well capable of pruning pruning quite large trees without having to climb up the tree. It’s not the lightest bit of kit and does need a bit of manhandling to operate it effectively. I’m 78 years old and have managed to operate it - the weight reflects the item’s durability and with the included spare blades etc represents a jolly worthwhile investment.
