I keep it always on hand it's a life saver
Excellent product. I was hours away from an ER visit for severe constipation, and decided to try a a vitamin c flush instead. It was unpleasant and very painful (sorry for the graphics) but not as painful as stimulant laxatives or enemas, or, heaven forbid, surgery. I was fortunate. That prompted me to research of course, because I'm not normally a constipated person and figured I'd better try to figure out what was going on. I'm glad I did. My proton pump had stopped working (I'm 58 and female) and my liver and gall bladder decided they wanted some time off too. And while my stomach was dutifully churning up my food and pushing it into the duodenum and small intestine, I suspect there were disgruntled rumblings there also. Yep, factory wide shutdown. To make a long story short, I got everyone back to work and at the risk of sounding REALLY dramatic, I feel like the vitamin c flush saved my life, or at least the misery of ER treatment and cost. It's also just a great way to get your daily vitamin c, especially if you get seasonal allergies, which was the original reason I bought it. Very helpful in that area as well. A word for the wise: if you suffer from frequent indigestion after your meals and you have IBS and/or other digestive/elimination issues please refrain from antacids and especially proton pump inhibitors until you're CERTAIN you actually have too much stomach acid versus too little. Look up how to do the home test for low stomach acid and try that first. Betaine HCL supplements are very inexpensive and the information on how to get a lazy proton pump working again is readily available. I've had tremendous success so far. Also: if you do have low stomach acid you probably also have (gasp!) gut parasites! Deploy the exterminators, lots of great products there as well. As you've probably gathered if you're still reading this, I prefer to treat myself whenever possible. While it's not for everyone, if you're the intrepid type I sincerely hope this info helps.

Pretty good stuff
I like this stuff. Some other people said it tasted bad; I don't think it has much of a taste at all, especially if you mix it more diluted than what it says on the package. It's a little sour at the bottom, but to me it's about the same as some sour candies. I actually like that better than the bland nothing taste, so I mix it a little more concentrated. I was recommended to take mega doses of Vitamin C due to Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. It does seem to help my fatigue quite a bit, and I'm hoping maybe my heart palpitations too because I tend to run a little low on magnesium and potassium. Seems to be doing the trick. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the gas. The first couple days I took it, I only took a half teaspoon and then took some tablet supplements along with it. I had no problems. I'm on day 2 of a full teaspoon of the stuff and my gas is voluminous. It seems to be all air (thankfully!), but it's still so bad that it's actually distracting. I was taking this in the morning with a breakfast bar, but it is now clear to me I'm going to have to break it into two servings and maybe with more food. Less convenient, but I hope that does the trick.

Buffered??? Nah, I received acidic
Update...although the c salts did not work out for me, the customer service was great. The owner contacted me to make sure I prepared the c salts the correct way before I tested the ph (which I did several times) and he even offered a refund before our correspondence. I give the company an "A" for effort in the customer service area. Original review: I bought this years ago and did not have a problem...but this recent purchase gave me stomache distress, so I tested with a ph tester and it tested acidic, even after adding trace minerals drops (only 10 drops changes my water to alkaline). Adding 20 drops total of trace minerals (still testing acidic), and then adding an 1/8 of a teaspoon of baking soda, which moved the color on the test a couple degees (but still on the acidic scale). I then tasted this and tasted pretty much baking soda. This batch, or maybe all batches of this vitamin c could be acidic. I will not be purchasing anymore.
