It says that the product contains milk.  Would that be whole, lowfat or nonfat?

The package does not say what kind of milk. It lists the ingredients as banana flakes, bimuno. The bimuno has listed as one of its ingredients , lactose. The package says CONTAINS MILK. 
It is low in lactose, 0.72g / serving.

What is a latex fruit allergy?

Latex is a protein found in the sap of a rubber tree. The term also refers to natural rubber products made from that sap. Some foods have proteins that are similar to proteins in the sap. If you have a latex allergy, you may have reactions to some foods. This is called “latex-fruit syndrome” or “latex-food allergy syndrome.” Bananas, kiwi, avocado and tomato being the more common foods this can occur in.

Could you describe the consistency of this product? Is it more like flakes of banana, or is it powdered banana? Thanks for your help

It is more like flakes, they do not dissolve, can some times clump together but will break apart easily when stirred. Depending on how much liquid is added, it can seem like a puréed banana. I add mine to cereal.

Is there a lactose free version of this?

Banatrol Plus contains two sources of soluble fiber.  A dehydrated banana flake and a prebiotic, (galactooligosaccaride) called Bimuno.  Bimuno is a fermentable fiber that is derived from milk so it naturally contains a trivial amount of lactose.  Most people who are lactose intolerant, tolerate it without issue.  The amount of lactose per serving is equivalent to about 1 teaspoon of milk or 5 milliliters.  The lactose is naturally occurring in the product and cannot be removed.

This clinically supported product is a natural alternative to traditional diarrhea intervention.  It has been shown to be very well tolerated in a variety of settings to control the frequency and consistency of diarrhea and loose stool.
