It says measure around the knuckles, but shows a picture measuring the palm. Which is correct?

The instructions on the 2nd photo state to “measure width at knuckles” not “around knuckles.” You measure across your palm (as the photo shows), not around your hand. Then refer to the chart to determine your size.

my hand is measuring 3.25. I know it should be medium; however 2would the small be better?

My hand also measures just a tad under 3.25 &, initially, I thought the medium gloves were a little bit loose; however, as I wore them, they felt like they provided sufficient support and warmth & my hands felt better each morning (I wear them primarily at night). I ordered a medium pair in a different brand and they had more compression but seemed to cut off the circulation in my thumb. My hands/fingers are also rather thin. If you have a fuller hand/fingers, a medium should definitely be fine. Hope this helps.

How tight should the gloves be? Mine's causing skin creases.

These appear to be women’s gloves as they have a woman on the cover and most pictures are women. I ordered the large and I would say for a man that would be a medium or small. The fit is extremely tight except for a man with small hands. The only reason I could think people say they fit right is they’re ordered by women. now if you want an extremely tight glove that might be a thing and I just don’t know about it. The quality looks very good.
