Product Description ------------------- This Hoya density filter is equipped with two polarising layers to control the a of light entering to the camera objetkiv. At the minimum setting, the filter allows 1/3 of the light to pass through to the lens. This is equivalent to 1.5 stops on the aperture or shutter speed. At the maximum setting, the filter only allows 1/400th of the light to pass through to the lens. This is equivalent to 9 stops on the aperture or shutter speed. After the filter is attached to the lens, you can rotate it between "Min" and "Max", thus controlling the a of light entry. With this variable density filter from Hoya you have the possibility with fast lenses such as a 50 mm f/1.4 lens, fully open and in full sun, with low depth of field. However, you can also slow down the shutter speed so that the clasp can stand open for a few seconds in the blazing sun. This is enough to make artificial blurry s of movements of water, cars, people and almost anything else that moves. The possibilities are endless!
