Great Bag-But Don’t Pay the Full Retail
I travel a lot. This bag is ideal. It’s well constructed, holds more than it looks like it can, and stands out in a crowd of black square 4-wheel bags. The wheels roll well and are super durable. I tested it out the brick sidewalks of San Francisco and had no issues. I only wish it was expandable. But I pack too much so it’s forced me to be smarter about what I need to bring! Great bag. In full disclosure, I bought this on a sweet deal on Amazon. I would not have paid the full price, but at the discount, this bag was well worth it.

Value for money; semi rigid/duffel.
Well built. I have had 5 or 6 two-wheel roll on pieces since 2012. I travel 160 nights a year. I am keeping it in reserve in case my main piece suffers a failure of zipper or wheel. Good value for money; a compromise between a duffel type Cotopaxi, Osprey, Eagle Creek vs a rigid hard-sided “Rimowa” or “Monos” type. This Pelikan comes in several dimensions: this one fits a normal airline overhead compartment.

Best carry-on bag ever
I have taken this thing to 3 countries and 15 states in just 7 months. amazing bag, and well worth the money spent. It Doesn't fall apart. Great wheels and bearings make it super quiet, rolls like a dream. If you are a smart traveler, you could get a week out of this. Definitely has the capacity, I am a bigger guy so I have bigger clothes and have done a week with it. It Could not get simpler and more affective.

Good bag, especially if you need to overload it
Super strong bag. I personally would be better served by one with an easier to use zipper and no supplemental buckles. Love the wheels and handle though. Easy for 6'3" guy to roll on rough surfaces and gravel.

A well built, well thought out good looking and functional piece of luggage.
Very well built! A great design with hard and soft features keeping the weight down but delivering protection in the high wear areas. Overall, the quality seems to be very good, I expect the durability to be very good, although we've not used it yet. The weight is around 10 ish pounds which for the build quality is exceptional.

Not for Us
Maybe right for some but we are returning. It lacks proper handles to carry it as a duffel when needed. The two handles on the front of the bag are tight against it so I would imagine anyone with larger hands having trouble using them even just for handling/loading. The hard back panel seems like it could shatter with one hard blow, though we didn’t test it. The zippers were incredibly sticky. And the raw Velcro patch on the front - I guess for some of the Pelican luggage accessory patches - made it look like a factory seconds bag. Also, it looks like navy in the commercial pictures but it is actually a very weird shade of blue. The color isn’t ugly, it’s just closer to green than navy for those concerned about that sort of detail.

One of the best rollers on the market (for the money)
Haven’t had this long, but I am very rough on my gear. Tend to buy overbuilt gear since I always find a way to break if. Have been on 10 trips with this bag since I got it. All over NYC, CO, and airports all over. I got the white one, and it’s for sure dirty and scuffed, but that doesn’t really matter to me. I use the Peak Design packing cubes, and can fit a medium, a small, and a pair of running shoes in the main compartment. Also a hoodie if it’s not too big. The top pouch in the flap holds cables and my toiletries bag. Could easily stuff this more, but nice to know everything fits and gives me room if I come home with more than I left with. Buy it! Worth the coin.

Bad design and longevity.
Owned less than 2 month and the wheel broke. Returned it and got charged for the damage. I expect more from Pelican as a 25 year Vet of the entertainment industry. Their shipping cases are good. This product is not!
