Love this cold belt

Edited: After I left the 1-star review, I felt bad. Normally if I product is defective I would contact customer service and ordered a replacement. I was in the throes of a new back fracture and in a lot of pain, however, so I quickly ordered one from a different company, even though I previously had a good experience with this company in a prior purchase. The reason I am raising this to a 5 star reviews is 2-fold. While I was waiting for my other product to ship, I actually found my old pink/purple cold belt that I had purchased a couple of years ago. That one worked flawlessly, which made me think that I had just gotten a lemon. Recently, the company messaged me through Amazon. They did not ask me to change my review but, instead, asked for more details about my experience. After I replied they messaged me back the next day saying they really appreciated my specific feedback so that they could follow up on this and make sure that this was not an ongoing problem. I was impressed by their sincerity, and they fact that they did not try to ask me to change the review or give their product another try. Looking back at this, I realize that if I hadn't been in so much pain at the time, I would have contacted the company and they would have replaced it right away and made it right. This pink/purple is still going strong and if I need to order another one I won't hesitate to order from this company. I think they make the best looking versions of this product and have actually received compliments on my old one. They have several thousand reviews, so my low review wouldn't make a dent in their overall ratings. But they cared enough about their product to reach out, and that means a lot in my book! I've had this for exactly 10 days. Loved it the first nine, but today I noticed my back was getting poked my something sharp. I reached my hand behind my backback and found what I thought must be some kind of thorn, although I had no idea how it would have gotten there. I pulled it out and tossed it, but then I started feeling more pokes. I pulled it off and discovered that the bottom velcro strip is disintegrating. it is pulling away from the fabric and little, sharp pieces of velcro are flaking off. (There were more than what is shown in the photo.) This is what was piercing my skin through my shirt! I am so disappointed because I fractured my back 12 days ago and this has helped so much with the pain. But I'm worried that if I just order a replacement, the same thing will happen. I have the purple/pink version that I bought a couple of years ago that I just found and that one seems to be fine. I going to use this old one and maybe look for another brand.

I have bought 2 of these for my husband's back pain. They are great and we love that they come with 2 gel packs so there is always one in the freezer. Only had one gel pack explode/ break open. We never heat them, we only use it for cold therapy so not sure what happend with that one but the others have worked fine. The velcro will wear out with heavy use as all velcro does.

Greatest I've found for back pain

My family enjoys having to use this type of gel forming ice pack. Standard wrap-around band with two gel ice packs. blue-ish in color material, holds up well to wear and tear. Offers flexibility and position location. If you get it dirty it is machine washable, tumble dry on low. Great value for cost and decent coverage area on the body. Stores in a draw or shelf, when it's not being used.

Amazing both hot and cold. Became full not to over heat gel pack in microwave.

This is an excellent product particularly the ice packs which compared to others I have are consistently colder when frozen that my other ice packs. Cold enough that you do not want direct contact to skin - it feels like it could burn you. They are EXCELLENT I cannot say enough for the packs. The quality of the pouch and belt is adequate but I could see a little improvement is needed in terms of quality of materials - the utility of the product for back issues is excellent. I love to take this to bed with me it is flat and easy to lay on.

Very comfortable and the fuel use cold or heat is a great option.

Got this for my dad for siatica pain, he wears it when driving and said it was wonderful, he didn't feel his back pain for the whole drive

It is a well made item and so far I've had no problem with the gel pack. The gel packs look sturdy and heats quickly in the microwave. The item wraps around me great and it also gives some support to my back. It has eased the pulled muscle strain which is extremely painful.
