The end is curved and made of flexible rubber so it won’t hurt their throat and goes in really well because it’s curved. the trigger is smooth and fast. It’s so much easier on the goats and easier to use, I could do the bolus chore solo now. Plus I didn’t lose/have to toss a single capsule due to misfire and was able to get every one of my ladies done in the first try. Normally when we do it, they are pretty upset after and won’t even accept a snack. All of them, even my biggest drama queen went right back to eating after their pill.

Worked great for giving copper bolus to my Alpine crosses. I used it with my 6 month old kids as well. The goats do chew threw the rubber, but I put a blob of selenium paste to get the bolus to stick inside the bolus gun and have had no problems. Worth the price.

I used this bonus gun today for the first time. It is very durable. The administrating plunger at the end of the gunis very convenient and delivers the bolus completely and quickly. The soft rubber reservoir, that holds the bolus is non-abrasive to the mouth of throat of the animal and is small enough to use with younger and/or smaller goats. The reservoir opening is a little large for the 2 mg bonus that I used. To help hold the bolus in the reservoir, I applied a small amount of selenium gel into the opening and placed the bolus inside. It worked perfectly. I dosed all six goats and didn’t lose one bolus.

Works amazing. If u are looking for a pill gun that will do big and small pills this is it. I have dwarf goats and thank goodness I got this one because the plastic ones I am always loosing the pills or feeling like I am chocking the goats so this one, I'm not. Love it!

This is the best bolus gun I've had for my goats. I was able to give copper bolus to my 8 goats in under 3 minutes. And the bolus went down on the first attempt with each goat.

So easy to use and very sturdy. Highly recommend!!
