Impressive!
I’m completely new to the Raspberry Pi world, and as a first-time user who had never touched one before, there are several points worth mentioning. The box it comes in is poor—an ultra thin cardboard that provides no real protection; just a small, hollow, flimsy box with the board inside, and it didn’t even include an anti-static bag. I feel it should come in a more rigid and secure packaging. When I powered it on inside the Pironman 5 Max case, everything ran smoothly. It was easy to set up, and I reached the desktop quickly. That said, the hardware is extremely delicate. Anything installed incorrectly can cause a lot of problems. I had to reinstall the operating system because I couldn’t find a way to fix the issues it caused. It works perfectly for retro games, basic browsing, and typical computer use—just more limited in almost every aspect. It’s definitely powerful and viable for DIY projects, and even if you want to use it for more serious tasks, it’s reliable as long as you take good care of the entire system. Recommended.

Excellent little computer!
This is a fantastic little computer! It was super simple to set up and use. The speed is so much faster than our old RPi computers. Everything works as it should and everything we needed came in the package.

Pi 5 16MB. Expensive, overkill, from a bad company, but still a great device.
It's a raspberry Pi 5 16MB. Expensive: check (once you add NVME etc, NUC PC prices are similar) Overkill for many applications: check. From a company that doesn't care about its users, and proved it all along during covid only selling to industry contracts and nothing to the users who made them? check again. Yet, it's a great little device. It works, has tons of support... I run one for Home Assistant with a Pimoroni nvme board and a 1TB cheap NVME. Similar for a Voron 2.4 printer (not a great idea as USB webcams and Klipper don't do that well on the Pi5, a Pi4 or Pi3 is better for that application). I've had many Pi from 1 to 5, and if you don't want to waste time, these work. Recommendation: do not pay more than MSRP, you can always find these.

RPi 5 with 16GB RAM and a SSD add-on make a good desktop.
I've been working with Raspberry Pi's since they first came out and the RPi 5 with a SSD finally approaches a standard desktop for speed and computational power. Raspbian Trixie plus Visual Studio Code make a fine development platform. I've moved all my Pico development from Windows 10 to the RPi 5. It's also the case that the graphics hardware on the RPi 5 can support *two* 5120x1440 monitors. This matches or exceeds the best available on a traditional PC. They've gotten a little pricey what with AI gobbling up all the RAM but it's worth it.

Great Combo, Decent Price.. for Amazon
Secure excellent packaging for the Pi and the CanaKit 45W plug-in is extremely versatile and ability to power projects that require it. The build quality of Raspberry Pis is always phenomenal, made in the UK. Setting up is easy, I use the Pi cooling fans and heats inks and my other units in Argon cases keep it cool and noise is minimal. You can do so many different things with a Pi. Although sometimes you get hardware that is DOA but that's just part of building your own hardware. But with all the other hardware and software configurations, the potential to do so much with these little units is incredible. literally the size of credit cards! I'll be back to update after I set it up with my Hailo for update.

Fun server for a beginner
I bought this because TeamViewer started to suck and I wanted to setup my own RustDesk relay to remote into my various computers that i use for work and entertainment/gaming. It works amazingly for this. I think spending ~$200 on a server just for that is a bit much, so I also am using it as a home media server and purchased a case/cooler/HAT combo to accommodate an NVMe. I love this and it was a fun project to setup and get running. Good introductory server for someone that's (like me) somewhat IT inclined but doesn't have a degree in IT or work in the field. Something I was surprised about initially when I got into this is that this is a headless server, meaning that there is no GUI - you essentially remote into the server from a computer (Windows for me, but Mac would be fine, too) via the ssh command in a terminal. No heat sink is provided so, again, buy a case that suits your needs.

Works fantastic
Love the 16gb of memory. Pair it with a nvme hat and nvme ssd, fastest if the pi's

Great for learning Linux!
Had to wait almost a month to get it! There must be a shortage on the 16GB version. The box that it came in was not sealed and had been opened before. I'm not sure if it was a returned item. So far, I haven't found anything wrong with it. It appears to be working properly. It's a cool little Linux machine! It's great for learning Linux! I recommend this product!

I’m really impressed with the Raspberry Pi 5! It works like a charm. I’m using it for programming in both JavaScript and Java, and I opted for the Ubuntu version. Everything runs smoothly, and performance is excellent. Overall, I’m very pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, versatile mini-computer.
