Christmas present for my seven-year-old grandson he loved it

For a first time may, this is great and kids can get good use out of it to improve their timing. However, as far as longevity is concerned I wouldn't expect it to last too long. The plastic is fairly thin and too much force can easily break the counter. I would say it's fine for cubes or stacking cups but don't expect this to be in service for more than a few months to a year. Great for the beginner phase.

Our son has greatly improved his cube solving speed with this mat! Highly recommend!

The mat and timer are made of good quality and work as expected. I wanted to use the mat also for cup stacking, but it's not wide enough for that. For cubing, however, there's plenty of room.
