Love Aiper products!
I’ve been really impressed with the Aiper S2. It’s cordless, super easy to use, and does a great job picking up dirt and debris from the bottom of the pool. I love that I can just drop it in, let it do its thing, and not have to deal with hoses or dragging out a vacuum. The battery lasts long enough to clean the whole pool, and the filter basket is easy to rinse out when it’s done. Overall, it’s made pool maintenance a lot simpler and saved me a ton of time. Definitely a great investment if you want something that works without a lot of hassle. Also, we had a great customer service experience when our machine broke down and we had to utilize the warranty. Definitely a well spent purchase!

A must buy for every pool owner!
We have had our Aiper for awhile now and my husband and I both wish we would have purchased it sooner. It truly is a time-saving and simple to use device. Simply stick it in the pool, and it does its job! It works ALL day and ALL night using solar power to charge its battery. We remove and dump the basket weekly, but more often in the fall. It catches SO many leaves! Our pool sits somewhat under a tree so we used to have a lot of leaves that would get to the bottom of the pool. Now, it’s RARE that we find any leaves at the bottom of the pool. I’m so happy that we found this device! It keeps our pool looking gorgeous with pretty much little to no effort at all. My only regret was not purchasing this sooner! Some more things I love: frequent updates to keep it running smoothly, easy to use app, easy to remove and not too heavy, AMAZING customer service.

Excellent Pool Cleaner – Highly Recommend!
I've been using the Aiper Surfer S2 for several weeks now, and I'm thoroughly impressed with its cleaning performance. It handles debris effectively and navigates my pool with ease. It picks up leaves, dust, dirt, and small particles without any problems. Setup was straightforward, and maintenance is minimal. For the price point, this is a solid investment for anyone looking to keep their pool clean without the hassle of manual skimming. Aiper's customer service has also been responsive and supportive. Very satisfied with this Aiper Surfer S2 product. I also own and use an Aiper Scuba S1 product.

Great Pool Surface Cleaner that is Solar Powered!!!
I bought the Aiper Surfer S2 last Spring in hopes of saving time in scooping debris, mainly bugs, off our pool constantly to allow more swim time in the pool! I wasn’t sure how well this would work but have been so impressed with how well it cleans the surface of debris! I used to get in the pool and then see bugs everywhere that you may not notice until you are in. Then I’d spend the next 20 minutes scooping bugs out! Well NO MORE! This solar powered surface cleaning robot does a fantastic job! It works on leaves, bugs and whatever you have floating on the surface. Not only that but it is super easy to clean! Now about the great specifics on the device itself. First off, it is solar powered while it is working! You put it in the pool and it has a huge solar panel on top so the entire time it is working, it is recharging! I never had to charge it myself except for the first start up. So no wasted electricity or wires/hoses to deal with! It does come with an easy adapter charging wire to plug in and charge as needed. Second, it has these “feet” you can pop out to keep it from getting stuck on the steps if the water is lower. If the water level is lower then those feet will hit the edge of the steps and it either turns around or backs up and goes back out into the pool to keep working. It can also be controlled by an app. The app is easy to use and tells the charge, how long it has run and you are able to turn it and guide it to a specific area you want cleaned. When done, it is easy to clean with a hose! It is fairly lightweight to get out of the pool as well. I’m so glad we bought this device and you will be too! I highly recommend it!

No regrets.
***update - latest updates have really been troublesome for scheduling. I often find my skimmer off in Standby. Very poor programming. I told support that scheduling should just work no matter what time of day and they changed how it works. Schedule should work like most smart devices like on Smart Life app - if it's on during the range and there is an off time, it should turn off. Whoever in programming that thinks having scheduler and manual off should not work together is beyond me. Very frustrating. Not enough to ding the product but very very frustrating. The programming requires that scheduler turn the device on and not manual on. Otherwise, it will error out and turn the device into standby. I've tested it for weeks. And there is a time factor to consider. You can't have the skimmer running and turn on scheduler for tomorrow. Device needs to be in Standby for a certain time range for Scheduler to turn the device on and follow for the next day. Aiper support doesn't seem to notice there is an issue. They think sending back the device for warranty service is the fix. If I were rating this solely on that, I'd give it one stars. But since schedule is a fairly new function that worked fine for me for months till recent programming updates, I still think the skimmer is rock star without it! Disappointing otherwise. Overall, I'm very happy with the Aiper Surfer S2. First skimmer, but I feel stronglt that its made a huge difference in keeping my pool water cleaner. I'm rather surprised with what I see in the collection cup to be honest. We use the pool with that much dirt? The solar is great and the app control is a nice feature. I haven't tried any other skimmer but I'm sticking with this one. I hope to not experience the dreaded "stopped working" after a season that others have experienced. I use it daily. Sensors don't work well at night so I pull it out. The sensors aren't perfect so I've had to our something on my spa wall to help. It leans slightly backwards but that doesn't affect it. I have gone to turning off my pool pump 6 days a week and just run this and my robot pool vacuum. Saves on electricity. It is kinda pricey, but again I think the app control more than makes up for it. Especially when it gets stuck on the spa wall and you're upstairs watching from a window. It's actually so relaxing to watch it work. Easy to clean, though be careful of jamming your finger pulling out the filter box. At first I thought a completely closed filter box was overkill but it's nice to not have any of the first go back into the pool when you're pulling the unit out. Wish it was slightly faster, but it does a great job. I like when it finds itself running the entire perimeter of my pool, in either direction. Solid build. No regrets. Fingers crossed!

Yes, it can work along with a Polaris pressure side hose pool cleaner!
This thing works great! And yes, it works with a Polaris pressure side hose cleaner, which most people say can't work. I was out for an evening swim, when some lights reflected on the water surface, revealing all kinds of things floating around: tiny bugs, pollen/dust, flower petals, etc. It seems that every one of my neighbors has a crepe myrtle tree with petals that blow into our pool. I didn't like the idea of swimming around in all of that stuff. So I started searching for a skimmer. I figure a skimmer can trap debris before it has time to sink to the bottom, also making things easier on the Polaris. But, all the reviews said you couldn't use a solar skimmer along with a hose cleaner. I saw someone mention adding weights to the hose, but I had an idea. I debated between the Aiper and the Bette skimmer, but I like the idea of having an app, with a scheduler, in case I need to schedule around the hose cleaner or something. I went ahead and ordered the Aiper Surfer S2. Cheaper than the Bette at the time. It arrived. I linked the app, set it in the water and turned it on. It ran around doing its thing. Awesome. But then, it got to the hose and got stuck. Just like they said. I tried scheduling the skimmer to turn off for an hour so the hose cleaner could run. But the hose cleaner would surround the skimmer and they'd both get stuck. I thought about alternating, like pulling the Polaris out and dropping it in as needed. Or letting it run, and only putting the skimmer in as needed. But I really liked the idea of the skimmer running 24/7, and the Polaris running for an hour every day. So I experimented. SOLUTION! The solution turned out to be pretty easy. I simply removed almost all of the hose floats. I removed 6 of them. There are now only 3. There's one on the section of hose coming from the side of the pool. There's one on the 2nd hose section. And there's one on the 3rd section, right above the rescue valve. That 3rd float stays submerged and only helps the valve stay out of the way of the cleaner. Only 2 floats are actually on the surface. I made sure the 1st section, coming from the wall, stays slightly higher in the water than the 2nd section. And of course the 3rd section goes down to the cleaner. Think of each section of hose as kind of "draping" into the water, but not reaching the bottom. There are now only 2 floats at the surface, and the hose drops away on both sides of each float at a sharp angle. I had to get into the water and just slide the floats until I got them the way I wanted. Now, the skimmer glides over the hoses without touching them at all. If it runs into one of the 2 floats, it gently powers over them. The floats are kind of held down by the weight of the hoses, so they are easy for the skimmer to push over. See video. End result is that my pool looks INCREDIBLE now. The bottom surface is spotless, as it gets cleaned for an hour every day. And the Polaris makes good use of the hour, by not getting stuck, and by having a Zipper closure on the bag. It actually cleans, instead of just looking busy. (Our old Pentair Racer looked busy but kept sticking in the corners and blowing debris straight out of the velcro opening.) The Aiper skimmer runs 24/7 on the surface. It doesn't have a set pattern or mapping, but it is relentless and tireless! No bugs, no pollen, no crepe myrtle petals can hide forever. The water shimmers and is clear from the top surface, through the middle, all the way down to the bottom. It really looks incredible. We keep staring at it in wonder. It is that noticeable. And when I went out for an evening swim, the water was like it just poured out of a filtered pitcher. Get one of these skimmers. If you have a hose cleaner, remove most of the floats. Enjoy crystal clear water. Note: In the video, I still had 4 floats, not 3. I later removed one more float that was not needed, so only 3 floats remain. This video should give you a good idea of how it is setup, and how easily the skimmer can push over a hose float, so long as you remove most of them.

Definitely worth the money if you find yourself having to use the net all the time.
After one summer of use, I can say that our Surfer S2 has been great. It did a good job of skimming the surface of our pool and keeping the surface clean. We found that it worked best to just leave it running 24/7, especially during times when blooms or other debris from our trees was actively coming down. It was a game changer from having to use a net all the time. It also helped reduce the amount of debris in the pool skimmer baskets. I also really like how it charges itself via the sun. This makes it almost care free. Never had to charge it all summer. It ran through the night and recharged itself during the day while running. There was only 1 problem. There is a spinning reel at the front of the unit that pulls material into it's hopper. This reel is supported by little ball bearings. One bearing completely failed on our original S2, causing the reel to freeze up. Aiper sent us a replacement S2. Never had any problems after that. Suspect it was just a bad bearing from the beginning. Really nice that they stand behind their product.

Must have for pool owners!
I’ve had the Aiper Surfer S2 for about a year now and it’s been great. I would say it’s able to get about 90% of the larger surface debris before it can settle to the bottom of the pool. Which has greatly reduced the frequency of me having to vacuum and clean my filter. Setting it up was easy using their app and the provided wall charger. They did a software update about two or three months after I got it which added the ability to schedule usage. I’m located in Florida so I get plenty of sunshine so I’ve never used the scheduling feature or the wall charger again, this maybe more useful for other areas with less sunlight. The basket is easy to clean and only takes a few minutes. Just slide it out from the bottom, dump the debris and hose it hose it off. I personally can’t use the chlorine tablet holder because it’s not big enough for the tablets I buy. I still you use a chlorine floater and the Surfer S2 does well of reversing out and never getting stuck with it. What prompted me to write a review now was one of the propeller motors stopped working. I contacted Aiper and they sent me a shipping label and repaired it under their two year warranty. The whole process was painless. They sent followup emails to make sure everything was working and I was happy with the repair. I decided to share my experience since the customer service was exceptional during my warranty claim and how good the Surfer S2 has worked for me. If you’re thinking about it give it a try, I’m glad I did!

Solar-Powered Pool Perfection
The AIPER Surfer S2 arrived in a well-packaged box, and I was immediately impressed by its sleek, futuristic design. The solar panel on top is a standout feature, emphasizing its eco-friendly appeal. The build quality feels sturdy, and the compact size makes it easy to handle. Setup was straightforward, with clear instructions and minimal assembly required. Setting up the AIPER Surfer S2 was a breeze. Simply charge it via USB for the first use, place it in the pool, and let the solar panel do the rest. The app guides you through the initial setup and pairing process. Once in the water, the skimmer gets to work immediately. It moves quietly and efficiently, covering the entire pool surface without missing spots. The smart navigation system ensures it avoids obstacles, and the app provides real-time updates on cleaning progress. Emptying the debris basket is quick and easy. The basket is large enough to hold a significant amount of debris, reducing the frequency of cleaning. The skimmer is made from high-quality, UV-resistant materials that withstand prolonged exposure to sunlight and pool chemicals. After weeks of use, it shows no signs of wear or damage. The solar panel remains efficient, and the internal battery holds a charge well. Minor Drawbacks: 1. While the solar panel is a great feature, it’s less effective on cloudy or rainy days, requiring more frequent USB charging. 2. The skimmer doesn’t handle debris at the bottom of the pool, so you’ll still need a separate pool vacuum for thorough cleaning. 3. Occasionally, the app loses connection with the skimmer, requiring a restart to The AIPER Surfer S2 Solar Pool Skimmer is a fantastic investment for pool owners who want to keep their water clean with minimal effort. Its solar-powered operation, smart navigation, and app support make it a standout choice for modern, eco-conscious households. While it’s not without its flaws (solar dependency and surface-only cleaning), its efficiency and convenience more than make up for them. Skip If: - You need a skimmer that also cleans the bottom of the pool. - You live in an area with limited sunlight and prefer a non-solar option. Pro Tip: Use the skimmer in conjunction with a pool vacuum for a spotless pool from top to bottom. Schedule cleaning sessions via the app to ensure your pool is always ready for a swim!

Another quality Aiper Product for Pool Cleaners!
For a pool skimmer the Aiper Surfer S2 is a great choice. Like all Aiper products, the S2 is built like a tank - choice materials, easy maintenance and super easy reusable filters make the S2 and ideal choice. The rechargeable battery is juiced by included cord or the solar panels. Note that the solar panels are just that - only effective when sunlight is out. SO if you are in an area where sunlight isn't a constant factor, don't get too mad at the S2. It still provides ample juice for most cleaning sessions and you have a charger that quickly tops it up after every use. The S2 is very good in skimming the entire surface while avoiding obstacles. It's fairly quiet and gives you a thorough surface clean. The filter is easily removed for cleaning so that you can reuse it countless times! The app is a great as well since it provides you with programming so that you can schedule the cleans. It also tells you when the charge is low so that you can service it via corded charger. Overall, a really nice skimmer that provides ample cleaning ability! Aiper does it again!

Great Self Mapping, Didn't Miss A Thing!
The thing I loved the most about this skimmer was it's mapping abilities. I watched it do an entire cycle on its first round, due to having issues with other robotic skimmers I have tried. This one just totted along, doing its job, and it hit every square foot of my pool with out fail. It was really simple getting this set up through the app, and getting a mapping figured out. The robotic mapping was great as was the object detection. When doing my second run I would place my hand skimmer net in the pool in it's path to see how it reacted. Each time it would remap by itself around and continue doing the job. For battery life I have a 10x20' pool and I could get the entire pool done on its battery life with juice left over to spare. Job wise/performance wise, I have no complaints. I did not miss anything nor did it miss anything major. The surface of my pool liked just as good as if I cleaned it by hand. It does move at a bit of a slow rate so for sure something you want to get done well before you decide to open your pool up for the day. All in all I have no complaints, it performed well, the mapping system was very impressive, it avoided objects with ease, it was able to complete a full clean off one battery life, and it collected a lot.

Super light and works great. Easy to clean as well.
I’ve only ever used another brand of premium pool cleaning robots, but am pleasantly impressed with the quality of this unit. It’s very light and works very well even in tight spaces. The unit is very easy to clean and I am very happy with the Aiper brand. The app was easy to setup and we have had no issues with this unit so far. Very good value for the price.
