It's a decent DIY solution that's much better than doing it yourself in a 2L bottle. Does it have its challenges? Absolutely. It's not like a typical CO2 regulator that is just filled up with gas that you pump into your diffuser. This uses baking soda and citric acid to generate CO2 and if done properly, is highly effective. But due to its design, you do still need to pay careful attention to your drop checker and the overall consistency of the CO2 output is dependent on a lot of other factors as well like temperature and how long it has left in its monthly cycle.

Received product and worked doesn’t leak but the magnetic Solinoid did not work so I can’t say the product worked right, the paining on the valves was also scratched and I did not like that seeing as this is a new product I am going to let the gas finish and return it was not happy with what I received

The tank is quite good and it works nicely (so far, less than a week from the first launch). However, its solenoid valve doesn’t do anything at all: whether or not it is on (the green indicator LED on), the gas is bubbling with the same rate. UPDATE: after I had disassembled the valve (found a pice of advice on a specialized forum), stared at its guts menacingly and then assembled it again, it changed its mind and started to work. I am not sure whether it was a stuck spring or my threatening stare, but… so far so good.

Co2 DIY system, who knew! Just get the ingredients and do so in the instructions, it really does work to produce Co2 for your tank. DO NOT LET THIS THING RUN ON ITS OWN!! It WORKS but it is not SAFE. you will need to keep an eye on it, do not rely on the automated process or timers, the solenoid valve has a MULTI HOUR LONG DELAY. You need to turn it off 4 or so hours before you'd like the injection to stop, it will continue injecting for the entire time even once electricity is completely cut. Either buy another solenoid valve separate or only use this manually! I stopped using it for this purpose.
