I bought it as a replacement of my original white painted kitchenaid dough hook that became faulty (paint started to fall off). Discouraged by the high price of the metal hook on the kitchenaid web I decided to give this one a try.. and now I am so glad I did! It feels like a quality product, fits actually better than the original and does the job very well whilst saving me +£50 I would have to spend on the same part made by kitchenaid. Whilst I absolutely love my kitchenaid mixer, the actual mixing parts (i.e paint covered) could be be improved.

I have an Artisan mixer. Standard not with the bowl lift. For years I have suffered the sub-standard KitchenAid tools. 6 months use and the white coating comes off. Stainless steel was only available with their large mixer...until now! I bought these not expecting them to be very good...but I was wrong. They are fantastic. Good quality stainless steel and fit better than the cast alloy version supplied by KitchenAid. I bought the flat beater and dough hook as the whisk is mostly stainless steel and I can't recommend them highly enough.

Kitchenaid are not cheap products, you expect the best, however the original white dough hook started to shed fragments of white coating into the food being prepared. This stainless steel dough hook is nicely made, fits and works well and far cheaper than buying the original replacement item. Highly recommended.

Used this once and it performed great with one slight issue hence the 4 stars. The weld for the top plate is on the top side whereas it would be better if it was on the hook side to not leave any gap for dough to get in. Update: this is really good and super easy to clean. While my comment above still stands that shouldn't stop you buying it.

Works just as well as the one that came with the mixer - but significantly cheaper

Got the dough mixer as my original kitchen aid coated mixer had started to peel! Have used this stainless steel one and I can say it’s brilliant! It even has a kind of top above the mixer itself so the dough doesn’t rise to the top! I would recommend highly and it fits kitchen Aid artisan food mixers perfectly! Delivery service excellent as always

Overall this is not bad but it does seem that it is just that bit slack in it’s fitting to the mixer. The diameter of the “hole” is right but the depth of the hole gives that slackness which maybe right or wrong. Overall it works well in comparison with the standard KitchenAid tool I only bought as it was in stainless steel.

This fits my KA stand mixer perfectly, and works just like the original one (had to replace because the white peeled off it). I have had it a couple of months now, and use it at least once a week. It goes through the dishwasher just like the mixer bowl.
