Expensive, but works
Expensive for what they are, but could not find an alternative that fit my V4 on AliExpress. A lot easier than soldering the tiny pads, that's for sure. I recommend testing the connections with a multimeter.

Overpriced and fussy but the only option if you don't want to solder
Philips' Hue lightstrips are great, so it's a shame they dropped the ball immensely on accessories one could use to avoid wasting sections by putting out their own equivalents to these and being able to separately buy controllers. It makes the whole idea of being able to use up to 10 meters per controller pointless unless you're willing to deal with a lot of faffing, but maybe that's the point. I've found these cut end connectors absolutely infuriating to deal with as slipping in a lightstrip end you're basically rolling the dice every time as to whether the section on the other end will actually light up correctly, as at least one of the pins almost always doesn't make contact if any at all. Shutting and squeezing the connector doesn't seem to help, and the lack of adhesive means you can end up having to fight against gravity on top of that as the slightest physical disturbance can be enough to ruin a delicate working configuration, if you can even get that far. And once that happens you need a tool to pry the connector back open and try again. This can take many attempts, and if your strip starts to peel off because of the lack of adhesive on the connector, this can dislodge the pins as well. A pack of the four connectors alone costs around ยฃ20 which is taking the biscuit, I don't see how these things can cost more than a couple of quid each to manufacture as nothing more than a lump of plastic with 6 tiny brittle pins. Unfortunately these are your only option unless you're willing to solder which I suppose is why they're able to get away with this absurd pricing, but aside from the risk of burning yourself there also doesn't seem to be any risk of bricking your lightstrip sections with these. Also on the positive side the cables seem quite sturdy and the connectors and cables are all modular, so provided you have the right bits to spare you can connect any side of a lightstrip to any other. As of when I wrote this review, you can buy cut end to cut end connectors with cables between at each side for an identical price, of course this makes no sense but is undoubtedly better value for money as you're getting twice as many cut end connectors that you could hook up to other 6 pin to 6 pin cables or save for later if you don't need them.
