I’ve used a lot of PLA+ over the years, and SUNLU’s Silk Four‑Color PLA+ (1.75mm) is one of the more impressive specialty filaments I’ve tested. It delivers the eye‑catching shine you expect from silk PLA, but with better consistency and fewer print headaches than many other multi‑color blends. Print Quality: The finish is gorgeous — smooth, glossy, and reflective without looking overly artificial. Layer lines are noticeably minimized thanks to the silk formulation. Performance & Reliability: SUNLU advertises ±0.02mm dimensional accuracy, and it shows. Filament diameter is consistent, extrusion is smooth, and I didn’t experience any clogging or under‑extrusion on a Prusa MK4 or an Ender‑3. Bed adhesion was solid at standard PLA temps, and warping was basically nonexistent. Color & Aesthetic: The four‑color blend is the real star. Depending on the model orientation, you get beautiful gradients or bold color shifts. It’s perfect for artistic prints, gifts, and anything meant to stand out on a shelf. This filament looks to be good quality. It’s easy to print, at 220 degrees I saw no stringing or blobs at all. Brims tore off easily. The color change is consistent across the entire print and it has a silky shimmer. It fits perfectly on my printer although I don’t have an AMS to test it in. The spool also fits on my storage rack with no problems. It’s a good value for the money, I’ll definitely buy this brand and give the other colors a chance again.

Last weekend I saw a gold silky PLA print that looked fantastic. I tracked down the gentleman that printed it and asked whose filament it was. "Sunlu Silk PLA. Least expensive PLA I've found. Works fantastic in cheap printers. Works fantastic in top of the line printers." I went home and ordered a spool of pink. It arrived in good quality packaging - cardboard, bag, desiccant and spool were all spot on. I rolled the dice and used it for a 20 hour, 525g print straight away. It came out fantastic. Other than me forgetting to move the seams to the rear in the slicer settings (would have been an issue with any filament) the print was absolutely perfect. It looks as good or better than the best silky PLA prints I've done in filament that costs 50% more. Details - Prusa with the Nextruder, 0.4mm high flow brass nozzle, 0.2mm layer height, using the stock Prusa Slicer 'Generic Silk PLA' profile, satin PEI bed with regular Magigoo applied

Great filament no probles noted. Print many different types of designs with no problems. Really like the smaller rolls because do not need to purchase larger rolls that will sit around before I use them all up. Came nicely package did not require drying before use. Good print quality and colors. Really like being able to try many different colors without ha ing to purchase larger rolls. Will purchase again.

Printed a couple fidget toys with this and they came out beautifully. The color transitions look really nice, and the finish actually has that smooth, almost silk-like feel to it. Printed clean with no issues and gave the prints a really nice polished look straight off the bed. If you’re looking for something that stands out and gives your prints that extra visual pop, this is a solid choice.

I bought this SUNLU Silk PLA for some of my more decorative custom projects, and the surface finish is stunning. It has a beautiful, high-gloss luster that completely hides layer lines, giving my prints a professional, "finished" look right off the bed. It prints very smoothly on my A1. Even though Silk PLA can sometimes be finicky with stringing, keeping it in my SUNLU S4 dryer box while printing has kept it perfectly dry and consistent. The winding is neat, and the "silky" texture is consistent throughout the entire spool. If you want to make your 3D prints stand out with a premium, shiny appearance, this is definitely the filament to use.

This is a lovely colour of silk plastic, with a re-useable spool. Sunlu PLA is great quality and prints well. Set up on a Bambu A1 with AMS lite as generic silk pla as even though the Sunlu is a choice on the app, it appears to set the temperatures too low. Love this colour
