I stumbled upon this product while looking for something else & figured for the price, it was worth trying. So glad that I did! It's a very unique scent. I wouldn't even necessarily know that it was sandalwood if I hadn't known beforehand. I was a bit skeptical to use it in the shower as I haven't used bar soap in eons. I've only had the experience of tight, dry skin after using bar soap. So when I got this, I only planned to use it to wash my hands. I'm so glad that I did bathe with it. I even used it to wash my face & it cleaned all of my makeup & never left me in a rush to put on moisturizer. I was shocked! It left me feeling (literally) squeaky clean & that clean feeling carried over much longer than any traditional soap I've ever used. It has a scent that both men & women could appreciate & it was soothing & moisturizing despite cleaning so thoroughly. The bar does go fast so if there was any drawback, it'd be that. Overall though, I'm very happy with this product & wouldn't hesitate to buy again!

Scent of mothballs, initially. Then, after using with water, scent of sandalwood. Scent is identical to the sandal talcom powder. Note: Satya sandal incense arrives with packaging scented that of mothballs. But, when burned, sandal scent.

I found this soap to have a strong, pleasant woody fragrance. I can't say whether it smells like pure sandalwood oil but it's very nice in the shower. It's not a moisturizing soap, but although I'm usually very picky about the gentleness of my soap I'll continue to use it because it smells so good and has lather of such nice consistency. Some of the multipacks available are a much better per-ounce price for this soap, by the way.

I have been searching and buying many many products because of my very sensitive skin. I have, through the years, suffered with my skin since I was a baby in the crib and had to wear bandages around the heels of my feet because kicking my feet made my heels bleed. 52 years later and my skin has not gotten better but had made a turn for the worse. I have multiple sclerosis and am on VERY potent shots that I must inject 3x/week. Besides giving me flu symptoms, I have noticed through the years, it has changed the chemistry of my blood and wherever I perspire, I break out in a HORRIFIC heat rash. I was always a "sweater" but my condition and my medications have made it worse. As I sat at my desk, crying because I got out of the shower and once again, my skin was inflamed, I came upon this soap. I have tried just about every soap on the market and nothing has helped. I ordered 2 bars and thought "what the heck. I tried everything else. Why not one more." I have now used Mysore twice already and I have got to tell you....it is the best thing I have ever purchased. I just ordered 2 more bars. Never has my skin felt this good....this soothed....not tight or inflamed from the other soaps I have used. Thank you. Thank you because for the first time in many years, I was able to shower without crying in pain and was able to finally feel what it's like to be normal again.

Mysore Sandal Soap is my fall-back soap. I try others, like them... but ever as much as this. I love the way it lathers! Lots of it! It rinses very clean, and leaves a subtle scent of sandalwood on your skin. I think it's unisex. Fresh enough for men, delicious enough for women. Sometimes I catch myself just picking up the bar and sniffing it. Yes, it smells great. This is the real sandalwood.

Funny name, smells great, sandalwood oil is supposed to be good for you. The one I got was expiring soon though, (within a couple of months) but that's OK, makes room smell good too. That's all I know on it.

Smells good; kind of small for a bar of soap and pricey for that size. Otherwise, unremarkable!

Le meilleur savon du monde pour moi, facile d'emploi, facile à rincer, délicatement parfumé au santal et restant intact au fil du temps, sans qu'on voie apparaître ces vilaines fissures noirâtres qui détériorent tous les autres savons que j'ai pu essayer...

Sapone veramente emolliente e molto molto profumato. Ho voluto provarlo come sostituto al solito docciaschiuma ..pensavo seccasse la pelle invece devo dire che lascia la pelle super morbida e ben idratata. Il profumo di sandalo è decisamente presente fin troppo!😅 Lo consiglio a chi ama le fragranze esotiche ..

El jabón es estupendo pero esperaba una pastilla un poco mas grande... me ha parecido un poquito caro 10€ por la pastilla.
