Everything you need in a humidifyer
Love, love this product. Adjustable mist output makes the control of the humidity just perfect. Set up is sooo easy. No smell, noise is very very low. Use this in our living room and it does a beautiful job. We got a smaller one for our bedroom and love that unit too. It is clear so you can see the water level. Has automatic shut off. Is super easy to clean. I use distilled water so there is no mineral deposit. Have had for 3 months now and it is perfect

Great humidifier!
Everything you need to know about this humidifier! If you live in a state with cold, dry winters, the warm mist function is a must. I didn’t originally purchase this humidifier for that feature, but now I realize how much of a difference it makes. The water tank stays very clean when using filtered or distilled water, though the base of the tank—like with most humidifiers—does need cleaning after a few days. The cleaning process is thorough but straightforward if you follow the manufacturer’s instructions using vinegar. It does leave a light layer of dust from minerals in the water, which is common with all humidifiers and easy to wipe away. We’re able to run this compact humidifier on the upper level of our 1,900 sq ft home, and it keeps the humidity around 30%, depending on the weather. When filled completely before bed, it runs on high all night—close to 8 hours. Overall, this is a great product and works extremely well.

Great product and better sleep!
The product works great! I have a large bedroom, and it definitely takes the dryness out of the air. My sinuses have not gotten dried out at all since sleeping using this product. It was easy to set up and works great with my Alexa Echo Show. If you run it at its highest setting, you will use a gallon of water a night. It holds a little over 2 gallons, so I am filling it up every other night. But it's worth it for the quality sleep!

Powerful and Effective, But Needs Regular Maintenance
Overall, this humidifier performs very well and does exactly what it is designed to do. It is powerful enough to handle large areas and noticeably improves indoor humidity levels in a short amount of time. The smart features are convenient, and being able to monitor and control it through the app is a nice bonus. That said, it does require consistent maintenance to keep it running at peak performance. Like most evaporative units, the filter will need regular attention depending on water quality and usage. It is not difficult to maintain, but it is something to be aware of. Performance has been strong, operation is fairly quiet, and it has made a noticeable difference in comfort. With proper upkeep, it is a solid option for whole home humidification.

3rd season with this humidifier and loving it!
I’ve owned this humidifier since November 2023 and it’s still going strong! I live in a small, one bedroom condo and keep this in my bedroom and it humidifies the entire place. I use only distilled water in it as the tap water where I live is very hard. Distilled water makes the cleaning very easy as I’m not cleaning up build up of minerals or scaling, just cleaning any bacteria that builds up over time. Since I do not need to use the included water filter, I remove the part that houses it which equals less things to clean. I also do not use the little felt pad because we use distilled water. I haven’t used the aromatherapy pad. The top fill is a game changer and makes replenishing water so quick, easy, and hygienic. I use to hate flipping my old humidifier over to unscrew the wet cap and then flip the full, heavy reservoir onto the base. Overnight, I go through about a gallon of distilled water. If I’m home during the day I typically go through 2 gallons (one during the day and one overnight). If we get particularly cold weather then I will go through maybe 2 1/2-3 gallons in an entire day as the forced air heating runs more frequently. If the weather isn’t as cold, a gallon of water could last 2 nights or more, and one gallon would suffice for an entire day. I will say that the humidity reading is off by about 15% in my case, so I have to set the target humidity higher so that I get to the level I actually want, not lower. It’s not a problem once you tweak it to give you the humidity you need. I also set the warm mist level to high as I believe the warm mist is much more effective and beneficial than the cold mist. It is quiet. With the warm setting set to high you do hear a “simmer/boiling” sound however I do find that sound to be soothing, like a pot of soup on the stove. I use the app to control it and set it on a schedule. I love that I don’t have to remember to turn it off before I go to work in the morning. The app is very user friendly and even has additional features like plant care. I’ve added every plant I have to the app and it reminds me when to water and fertilize them which has made my black thumb a bit greener! My plants are thriving thanks to that feature. Whenever this device decides to give up, I will buy the same one again. I’ve recommended this product to anyone who asks. It really saves my sinuses in the dry north east winters. And it really saves my husband’s skin, he suffers from eczema. No more nose bleeds and no more eczema break outs! Comfort in the dead of winter. Buy this!

Better than anticipated
This works very well. The convenience of setting a humidity level as well as using a phone app makes this the perfect humidifier. I also appreciate the fact that I have the option of cold or warm humidification. It has worked continuously with no problems. I appreciate the large water tank and it is quite easy to fill when needed. I would definitely recommend this. Unit. I also appreciate the fact that I can choose to add a sent to the humidification.

Honest Review – Good Humidifier, But Be Aware of Sensor Limitation
I want to start by saying that VeSync/Levoit customer support was excellent. They were responsive, polite, and thorough throughout multiple email exchanges. I tested two separate LV600S units (including a replacement from Amazon), and support took the time to explain the behavior in detail. However, buyers should be aware of an important limitation: The built-in humidity sensor can significantly overestimate room humidity. In my case, the unit displayed ~62% while two independent hygrometers consistently showed ~38%. I verified placement (away from walls, proper ventilation, mist not directed at the sensor), reset the device, and even tried a replacement unit. The behavior remained the same. Support clarified that this is a known limitation of the internal sensor’s location and how ultrasonic mist interacts with it — not necessarily a defect. Because the sensor is inside the unit, it can detect localized mist concentration rather than true ambient room humidity. As a result: The humidity reading may not reflect actual room conditions Auto mode shutoff may not behave as expected The unit may continue running even when the app shows humidity above the set target I am continuing to use the humidifier, but only while monitoring humidity with a separate external hygrometer. The humidifier itself is quiet, well-built, and performs adequately for moisture output. But if you are purchasing this model specifically for accurate humidity control or precise auto-regulation, you should factor in this limitation. I appreciate VeSync’s transparency and professional support. I just believe customers should know this upfront so there are no surprises.

Impressed by long time run and auto function!
I am totally impressed. This sits in our living room (our home is about 1600 square feet) and it humidifes the whole home (3 bedroom, 2 bath and den, all one level). I set it to 50% and then set to auto and it runs like a charm, keeping the percentage in all rooms right at 50%. (It can be controlled by an app to do this on your phone but I didn't bother with that. I don't like complicated things.) It has a 6 gallon tank so you don't have to constantly fill it. I have lived in a northern climate for decades, where it's not uncommon to get to minus 10 or minus 15 Fahrenheit, and occasionally lower. It gets really dry at that temperature. I used an evaporative wick system in the late 90s but there was no way to set the percentage of humidity and I had condensate running down the windows. So I had switched to the ultrasonic white dust monsters that make me cough, with one in each room. I just got fed up and sprang for this system. I am really pleased. It is not much bigger than the air purifier I had sitting in the same place. It doesn't look out of place. It rolls on wheels right over to the sink and comes with a hose that can go from your kitchen sink to the tank to fill up 6 gallons. You don't need distilled or purified water. It's pretty easy to use. There is a casing with four black filters sitting on a platform above the water. The filters remove easily from the housing and can be rinsed under the sink faucet. They don't sit in the water, like other evaporative systems. There is a pump system that brings the water up. Not sitting in the water means you don't get all the gunky looking stuff on the wick filters like in other humidifiers. I like that you can just empty the water tank and wipe it out to clean it. They include a cleaning brush with the system and have pretty good instructions on cleaning and descaling if and when it needs that. Once it got up to the 50% after I originally set it up, the fan hardly runs. It just kicks in on low when it gets to a few percentage points below 50%. So it hardly makes any noise at all. One of the reviews described it as a "swamp cooler" but I haven't experience that at all. It seems like the normal room temperature that it was before. I am super pleased with the automatic function and am sorry I didn't buy this type of humidifier years ago. Update a day later- I went to order replacement wicks online and saw a link to wicks plus a white donut shaped filter. I didn't see anything like this in the system I have so I wrote to Levoit yesterday to ask whether my system (with the pump) is supposed to have these donut shaped filters. Big plus- they wrote back a day later (since I emailed them on a Sunday) and said that the donut shaped ones were not for my system. This is what they wrote: "The small black oblong oval piece at the bottom of the pump is the water filter sponge for your humidifier. This is different from the white donut-shaped water filters you may see online, which are for other models. The water filter sponge is optional and can be omitted if desired. Discoloration due to oxidation is normal." They went on to send me a like for cleaning the water filter sponge with vinegar, just like the donut shaped ones are cleaned. So, just so you know the Superior 6000S model with pump does NOT need the small donut shaped filters. I did also order some of the "cleaning fish" that I saw offered for the other Levoit model to help with hard water problems.
