It works for fast charging if you use it with the Fast Charging USB plugs from Samsung. If you use it with a standard USB plug it won't fast charge as with most cables. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know if the data speed is usb 2 or usb 3? i know it says usb 2.0 so assume 2.0 speeds but wanted ask users...

This is USB 2.0. Very annoying that amazon suggests this is as a newer model when you try to purchase the anker USB 3.0 cable. Led me to purchasing a product I didnt want.
