It does what it needs to do, though it's very thin and stretches easily when pulled on, so be careful. But one thing I noticed, because it is so thin, if it gets wet in rainy water it sticks together very easily and eventually just turns into one long yellow-black-striped string, rather than a band. But otherwise it's fine.
