For me - easily the best of the GPS trackers
I did a lot of research before buying a tracker for my cat. I ended up trying three different ones (Weenect, Tabcat, Tailit). Of the GPS trackers, this ends up being a clear winner for me. For starters - it works and is easy to charge, easy to setup. It comes with a magnetic charging cradle which is neat and tidy. It is one of the lightest GPS trackers available (although be aware - although they tell you it weighs 25g or so, the silicone case that comes with it to hold it onto your cat's collar weighs another 11g - so really it is between 35-40g total - but my cat is not too large - less than 4kg - and she doesn't seem to mind it). Features wise, it is packed with good things: it can ring, it can vibrate, it is water proof. Battery life is *very good*. They say 2-3 days but because it goes into standby mode whenever you cat is dozing and not moving, and because you can set how often it updates when your cat is moving, it will go up to 5 days between charges. The standby mode when not moving is perfect for when your cat loses her collar (and she will) - the device will remain trackable for a good long time! But - where this device REALLY shines is in the software that Weenect provide with it. Of course, like any other GPS tracker you pay Weenect a monthly fee to cover the SIM card contract and the use of their servers and software - but in Weenect's case it is totally worth it. Both their Website and the iPhone App (and I assume the Android app is very similar) are *outstanding*. They beat any other GPS tracker service website I looked at into dust. The software is easy to use, quick to log in to, and has a plethora of features including history over past 1, 3, 6, 12, 24 hours, hotspot view, easy-to-configure geo-fencing, very intuitive interface, and you can interact with the device in real time - updating how often it sends you locations, make it ring or vibrate - request a fresh GPS position, and even send a voice call to the device (10 minutes of this per month included in the fee). I cannot stress enough how good the software is. The other devices I looked at, some of them may have bene as good technically and in terms of weight - but none of them came close on the software side and it is of course this that you will be interacting with, - not the device itself. Finally - quite neatly, the device has a button it which when pressed will alert you to your phone and email immediately, and allow you to call and speak to the device (like a mobile phone!). So if your cat gets injured or lost someone can who finds it can press this button and be put in touch with you immediately. So - I waffled on. But - in summary - a well-designed lightweight device with good battery life, works very reliably (I've been using it for a month now), and EXCELLENT software interface both on traditional PC/laptop via a web browser and also on your handheld device. Oh - and they have good support too.

Highly recommend
I am very pleased with the tracker. GPS location is not 100% accurate but it gives you a very good idea of where your cat is. I would say its around 95% accurate. There are times when the location is completely off (cat is only upstairs but location on map is 5 streets away) but this only happens once in a blue moon. The tracker also can't differentiate vertical heights so if your cat is just upstairs, it will show that he's further on the map. The virtual fencing is very helpful as it notifies you when your cat has wandered too far. The ring function is helpful when trying to locate the tracker especially when cat loses the collar which has happened a few times. Size wise, it's a bit big for my liking but doesn't seem to be much of a bother for my cat. It is also not too heavy. The silicone holder holds the tracker securely but in order for it not to move around on a collar, I've had to buy those double layered collars.p Battery does last 3 days but I do charge mine every day as if the cat goes missing, you at least have the tracker on for a longer time. The app is also easy to use and customer support has been very helpful whenever I've contacted them. Replies have been prompt and solutions have been given. I live in Malaysia and would highly recommend this tracker. The tracker is expensive in Ringgit Malaysia and there is also a monthly subscription to be paid which is affordable. Overall, more than satisfied and highly recommended.

Good device for keeping tabs on a roaming cat
I like this as it gives me reassurance that I know where my cat as she often goes off on strolls for the full day, sometimes not returning until the next day. Its easy to set up and activate and reasonably accurate. My cat wears it without complaint and the live tracking has provided the family with hours of fun tracking the cat! The other features such as the heat map and tracking history can be both enlightening and reassuring. The call and vibrate features works fantastically, after a week of training with treats, my cat has returned when we called her using the device! It has a few cons such as losing signal quite often and in some areas the accuracy isn’t as good however, overall this is a good product that does what you want it to.

Useless product
Would give -1 if I could. I haven't let my cat out yet as I am worried about where he might end up so I thought a GPS tracker would give me piece of mind. I saw good things about Weenect that made me get it, mainly it's small size and the geofencing software. However upon receiving it today I have tried it and the GPS is absolutely useless. It's been at best 15m inaccurate, at worst it showed in an entirely different estate. The picture shows the route its supposedly gone on in the last 3 hours however it has actually remained in a stationary position in my garden that entire time. I thought it may be a faulty tracker so I contacted the online chat who told me that it was too close to buildings which was interrupting the GPS. Now that may be true, but I then ask what is the point of this product if it will only work 150m away from built up areas? The customer support was dreadful and constantly saying there wasn't a fault with the product. There may not be a fault in that it is smashed however the location is incorrect, which must be a fault when the sole purpose is to locate the cat! I have returned it as it is completely useless for making sure my cat is safe.

Works well so far
Arrived quickly and works well so far. I've only been using it for 3 days. Our cat was moving back to us after been living with my inlaws for 7 years. He doesnt know our new house or neighboorhood, so I was worried he would wander off trying to gind my inlaws house again (they had to move to an apartment and couldnt keep him). So it is really comforting to be able to keep track of him when he goes out. I can see that he is exploring the neighborhood but doesnt go far. If I didnt have the gps I would be constantly worried and would be out looking for him all the time. The only downside is the battery doesnt last very long, maybe 2-3 days, but I am going to make a habit of charging every night. Also the gps is not completely accurate, but good enough for me. I wouldnt use the ting tone or vibration, it is too loud and scary for the cat. But if he was lost, I might use the call feature, so tha he would hear my voice... I dont know. The main function for me is the gps and it is good enough. And it was very easy to set up and start using.

Excellent tracker
Really happy with these trackers. One of my cats went missing 4 weeks ago and hasn’t been seen since which has been totally heartbreaking. I have since bought this tracker for my other cats and am very happy with it. It is a bit bulky for a cat but none of them seem to mind and they get on with their roaming no problem. I have tested it and have always been able to locate them when they’re out and about. While the GPS is unlikely to work if they get trapped inside a building you would be able to see their last known location so you’d still be able to isolate the building they’re in. It’s also really reassuring to be able to see what their usual routes are and mine all stay away from the road. Make sure you get a quick release collar to thread the tracker on to. You can get the Weenect insurance for if it gets lost but you are likely to always be able to find it anyway. If you have a cat that doesn’t usually wear a collar I would get them used to that first. I initially bought a radio tracker as it’s smaller and although gets similar star ratings as this one I thought it was useless. I know other reviewers of this one have had issues with the GPS accuracy but I’ve not experienced that at all and Weenect have great tutorials to make sure you get the best out of it. The battery life is fine - I take the tracker off the cats when they come in at night and then charge it every other day. You do have to pay a subscription as well but if you are attached to your cats I’m sure you’d gladly pay that to get them back if they got lost/injured and you couldn’t find them. The app functionality is great and also great for if you have multiple pets. I did loads of research and this one consistently came out as top and in my experience rightly so.

So glad I found this product!
I bought this a few months ago and would not be without it now. The day before my cat had been locked into a very seldom used neighbour's garage for about 6 hours before I found her. That night all I kept thinking was how lucky I had been that she had been locked in so close to home that I found her pretty easily. As she is a bit of a wanderer, it could have been much, much worse. There were several products for cat GPS but my problem is that Sansa is only 3 pounds soaking wet - other products were for larger cats. Had images in my head of her being so weighed down in front that her back legs would be sticking up in air. Ordered the Weenect that night and Sansa was on house arrest the next day until it arrived. Yes, there is a bit of weight to it but I was relieved to see all four paws were on the ground! About 10 minutes after she left on her first post Weenect outing I realised I hadn't turned the darn thing on but figured even I/Sansa couldn't be that unlucky to be locked in 2 days in a row. Fortunately I have never made the same mistake again. (Watch me go and do it tomorrow now I have typed that.) I track her on the computer and my phone easily. It is true that the GPS is not 100% accurate - but Weenect tells you the accuracy < or > in yards in the same place you check battery life. Did have an issue one day when GPS said Sansa was in the house - I searched and on my second whiz round the house I finally spotted her on the outside living room window ledge. As for battery life, I charge it every evening when she comes in and make sure it is 100% before she goes out in the morning. During the summer she was out 10 to 12 hours surveying her kingdom and the lowest the battery got was 52%. What I didn't anticipate was how funny it would discovering where she goes on her travels. She was spending about an hour a day at a house further up the road - someone I don't know. Even before GPS I knew Sansa would go to my friends places each day for a quick visit. Just happened to pass the house when a woman was out in her garden so I thought I would be nosey and ask. Turned out that during lockdown they had gotten a Yorkie pup and Sansa and the pup made friends through their conservatory windows. She showed me a picture on her phone of Sansa and Bertie trying to lick each other through the glass. I am so glad that I found the Weenect and I would hate to be without it!

Fun but Frustrating
I was excited to try this product, but it let me down time and time again. It seemed easy to set up, but it would not connect and showed my device being permanently offline. When I contacted Weenect, it took them almost three weeks to get it sorted which included e-mails, returning it to them in France, receiving a new device and getting it set up. It failed to connect, and they had to do it on their end. Incredibly frustrating. You will need to purchase a collar if you don't have one already to attach the tracker. A subscription fee is required to use the included SIM card. So, you can't just buy one elsewhere. So, after that ÂŁ70 for the device, you pay either ÂŁ7.23 monthly, ÂŁ54.92 yearly or ÂŁ77.80 every two years. The device itself, is big and bulky, measuring 6.2cm x 2.6cm x 1.8cm and weighing 35g. My cat is large, and it still looks huge on him! When the tracker was finally set up and working, it was interesting to see his movements. Although, there were times when he was a few metres from me and the tracker would say that he was houses away. I could never be sure exactly where he was. It just wasn't very accurate for the price tag. The battery lasts well and is easy to charge via USB. For the few days that I tried it out, I never got close to running out of battery. I was nervous to lose the tracker but Weenect offer insurance for this at an extra charge which only appears to be on the order and not their website. There was one aspect that I loved about the device: being able to call your cat like it's his mobile phone! I could let him know that it was dinner ready and prank people by talking through it as though my cat were talking! Yes, I am a fully grown adult. You can also make it vibrate (way too powerful and scary for the cat) or ring it. You can set up a boundary and be alerted when they cross it. Notifications also cost extra! All in all, when it works, it is okay but there's so much that needs improving. Telephone customer services is a missing essential. It's also a pain to switch off as you must do a movement which never seems to work. Would I recommend it? At this stage, no. It is too novelty and unstable and buggy to warrant paying almost ÂŁ100.

Bien

- Hülle passt an jedes beliebige Halsband.

Device gps quasi perfetto
