Seriously Impressive Iron Remover – Does Exactly What You Want
I’ve used a few different iron removers before, but this one really stands out. It’s super easy to use – just spray it on and you can immediately see it reacting as it pulls out contamination from the paint. The colour change is really helpful because you can clearly see where it’s working, especially on areas that pick up a lot of brake dust and road fallout. After rinsing, the surface felt much smoother and noticeably cleaner, even before doing any further steps like claying. It’s strong enough to do the job properly, but it doesn’t feel overly aggressive on the paintwork or surrounding areas. I also found you don’t need to use loads of product, so it should last a decent amount of time. Like most iron removers, it does have a smell, but it’s not as bad as some others I’ve tried. Definitely manageable. Overall, really solid product that delivers exactly what you’d expect. If you’re into keeping your car clean and properly decontaminated, this is well worth picking up. Would happily buy again.

My Fav Iron Off gel
Brilliant stuff. I have used many brands of fallout remover but always come back to this one. Thick does not dry out to soon. Highly effective on cool paintwork and alloy wheels. Can be diluted. Pricey but 5L better value and lasts a while.

Surpasses Auto Glym easily. 75% Effective but stubborn brake dust needs far more effort to remove.
I purchased this product to address (and hopefully) remove the accumulation of brake dust on my alloy wheels. The final result was more of a mixed result than i had hoped for. However, overall, it demonstrated approximately 75% effectiveness in removing the brake dust, significantly enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the wheels. The cleaner proved effective on the majority of surface contaminants; however, it did not entirely eliminate all traces of brake dust, particularly in more stubborn regions, but it was a speedy process and surpassed Auto Glym products I have used. While this product performs commendably and represents a valuable asset in car maintenance, it is essential to acknowledge that minor residue may persist even after application. Users seeking a comprehensive cleaning solution may need to supplement the product's use with additional considerable manual effort. Nevertheless, I would recommend this cleaner for its general efficacy and ease of application, making it a worthwhile addition to one’s vehicle care regimen, as I have stated, it far surpasses Auto Glym. The application is easy with the spray on attachment and little leakage of the product occurs. You easily use up around half of the bottle on fairly crusty wheels and whilst they are significantly better by the end, lots more work is still required to get them looking really good.

It’s the best - End of.
I am a petrolhead and lucky to drive a G87 M2 in black, so yes I clean my car a lot including the wheels (obviously). My garage is filled with lots of cleaning products so you could say I’ve tried them all, but it is this one now that I repeat buy. Why, because imo it’s the best. Spray it all, let it work its magic and then jet wash off. Very rare these days do I have to go back after a wash and clean again. Tip though, don’t leave it on too long because if it dries, it won’t fully jet wash off. On a hot day, it drys very quickly. Fantastic product though…

Brilliant Product
Excellent product! I can't believe how good this made my wheels look with minimal effort. I now plan on buying the citrus wash and other products from Gtechniq

I am Iron Man
Due to lockdown , I’ve recently become a bit of a car detailing nerd to pass the boredom of staying home at weekends. After doing a little research on products such as G-Techniq , Auto Finesse , Maguiars , Bilt Amber and many others , and watching endless videos on YouTube on how to do it properly (JP Details are the best videos) I thought I’d go the whole hog and detail my car properly and decided that G-Techniq was the product to go for , as that seems to be a popular choice for most professional detailers , but I was always a little reluctant about iron removers. Yeah , sure it works fine on alloys , but paintwork? Is it really necessary? Am I wasting my money buying more than I need? As it turns out , it was completely necessary and not a waste of money , as after I cleaned my car (for the 10th time this week) I thought I’d done a pretty good job , but spraying this stuff on you can see just how much contaminates are still lurking in the paintwork. As like when you spray your alloys , it turns the contaminates a dark purple and I couldn’t believe how peppered my paintwork was with brake dust/road grime even though I’d just washed it , which will no doubt affect the eventual gloss/shine of your car even though you can’t see anything after it’s initial wash. Chances are , even the most fastidious of car washers out there will never have treated their paintwork with an iron fallout. It doesn’t matter how many times you wash your car , you’ll never get rid of this contamination without it. I’ve demonstrated this after the wheel clean in my video with my wife’s car. That being white it’ll show up the contamination more clearly when filming. Bear in mind that before I applied this , I’d jet washed it , snow foamed it , jet washed again, shampooed it and jet washed it a third time just to show you that a decent wash alone won’t get your car thoroughly clean. The main effected areas will be the back and front of your car , but this contamination will be everywhere. Remember , when it rains , all that break dust that’s been gathering on the roads will be kicked up by other vehicles and cover your whole car. Along with G-techniq Tar and Solvent remover (no , I’m not sponsored by G-Techniq) , you’ll notice a huge difference. You only need do this kind of deep decontamination process once a year , usually in the spring , but be warned , this is not for the impatient or those with a sensitive sense of smell , as this stuff stinks like the devils own dump. After cleaning off and applying a decent sealant (G-Techniq Liquid Crystal) the difference is astounding and looked like my car had just come from the factory floor and felt unbelievably smooth to the touch and incredibly hydrophobic. If I had one quibble , it would be that the liquid is too thick to atomise properly to give you a good covering , so you’ll use more than you should. If you have a family sized car like mine , you’ll end up using a whole bottle to fully cover , but as I’ve said , you only need to do this once a year. My advice would be to buy the 5 Litre tub as it works out so much cheaper and spend a couple of quid on a decent spray bottle with an adjustable nozzle , that way you can atomise the liquid better… as much as I like Gtechniq products , their spray bottles are no different to any other brand and leave a lot to be desired. Other than that , it’s brilliant stuff and highly recommended and have now bought the full range of products from G-techniq. Not just for alloys! .

Seriously good stuff.
Just been through my collection of wheel cleaners and put then in the bin. This is the only one you will need. Being a bloke I keep my motor tidy and over the years I have used most wheel cleaners. Some perform better than others as you would expect but they all left me somewhat disappointed, never being quite up to the job but an acceptable finish could be obtained with repeated applications and elbow grease. Saw some guy using W6 on you tube so I thought I find out for myself. Prime delivery meant it was on the doorstep the next day. The weather was nice, I was in lockdown with nothing else to do so I decided to clean the mess of filth that passed for the wife's car. Apparently she doesn't get the time. The wheels were in a right state. They should be silver in colour but these were black with brake dust and dirt, all four of them. I gave them a good jet wash and then sprayed them with an all purpose cleaner mixed 10 to 1. Agitated it with a wheel brush and jet washed it off. They were silver again but not 100% but passable. This is where I would have normally stopped. Not today. Out came the Gtechniq W6. I put on some gloves, gave the bottle a good shake and sprayed onto the wheel making sure it was all covered. It doesn't smell very nice so It must be good I though to myself. By the time I had applied to all four wheels the first one was turning red. Apparently it does this to show its working it shows that it's lifting the iron particles and other crud away from the wheel. I left it on for five minutes. It looked like the car was bleeding to death. I then jet washed it off. The wheels looked like new. No black corners, no brown edges just sparkling wheels and these are ten years old. What a finish. I foamed them up with the general wash of the car. The rinse was chalk and cheese. They were terrific. So at last my technique is complete and its spotless wheels from now on. No other product needed. I showed the results to the wife. She said they were O.K. No pleasing some people. Take it from me this stuff is amazing it really does clean your wheels. Try it out.
