This thing is amazing! The write-up says it rotates 360° with 210° dual-axis folding metal arms, ensuring you can find a suitable viewing angle in your car, wherever you place it. I first stuck it to the windshield, but didn't like it there, so I removed it (see removal suggestion below) and put it on my dashboard. I avoided the dashboard initially because it isn't a smooth surface like glass, and I wasn't sure how well it would stick or whether re-sticking would work. As you can see from the photo, the surface has some texture. Still, this mount is firmly attached to my car dashboard. Since January 23rd, despite daily exposure to sun and heat while I work, it hasn't budged. The information on it says the magnet will hold 78 pounds, and while I haven't tested it with that much, I can tell you it would definitely hold a lot more than a phone, and that phone will not come off, no matter how bumpy the road is. And yet, it is easy to pull off with one hand. It has a sticky silicon bottom that maintained its stickiness even after I removed it from the first mounting place, and an interesting twist-and-lock bottom that adds stability. The mounting magnet is an open ring that helps with cooling. My phone can get a little hot,, and when sitting on the dashboard, it can be in the sun sometimes, so I appreciate that. REMOVAL SUGGESTION: They do note that you can reattach it 200+ times. While that just might be true, I can tell you from experience you're not just going to pull it off. Even off of glass. It is on to stay! What I did was take the length of the fishing line and pull it down behind it. That will allow you to pry it off.

Easy to install and holds the phone nice and sturdy even on bumpy roads and gravel. The phone remains stable when driving. It did not stick to my dash with just the mount, but it comes with an optional disk to mount the mount to, and that worked.

Other features of this product might be great, but went untested because on unpackaging the product, I found that the magnet for the phone wasn’t strong enough to hold my phone up. It would slide off the magnet. My old magnetic holder works just fine except that it needs replacing at this point. If it requires a MagSafe case, then I have made the mistake. I have an iPhone 14. UPDATE———- I bought this phone holder because the description indicates that it works for non-MagSafe phones. I tried this, and the phone slid off the magnetic holder three times. While I didn’t want to, I bought a MagSafe case for my phone. Now the phone holder holds my phone very strongly. So the solution cost me an extra $60, but it works.
