Fantastic little product. Pulls my retainers out without having to stick my fingers in my mouth and break a nail trying to pry them off!

Works Wonderfully!
I’ve just gotten Invisalign, but the removal tool provided to me was ineffective. The retainers were too secure to reliably remove them by hand, so I’d use the provided tool. However, it didn't want to latch onto the retainer, and it hurt each time to pry the retainers off. After a few days, I got fed up and decided to buy this. This removal tool is absolutely AMAZING. It hooks right onto the retainer and pops them off with absolute ease and little to no discomfort. Would highly recommend!

Works!
Dentist recommended this for my new set of retainers. This tool really helps a lot since my arthritic fingers couldn't remove the retainers, but this tool solved that issue. Still getting used to it, but at least I can remove the retainers.

Does the trick.
I had to buy this little hook as my Invisalign retainer is so tight that I could not get it out of my mouth. They couldn't even get it off my teeth at the dentist office. This little hook works great and now I can live my life without the worry of having to wear my Invisalign constantly!

Gotta Get Those Things OUT!
This is my second review of an aligner tool (I bought more than one) and my review is similar for both, with a small difference in performance. If you have recently started clear aligner orthodontics and, like me, have experienced the panic of thinking you won't be able to remove your trays from your mouth then click ADD TO CART right now! I've tried two different brands so far and they seem somewhat similar, with this brand edging out the other by a small margin. I was having a heck of a time removing my aligners (my orthodontist gave me no advice other than to use my fingernails or a new/clean pedicure tool that had a hook-like apparatus on the end (really doc?) The first option (fingernails) didn't work at all (it just tore my nails to shreds and didn't even budge the aligners) and the second (pedicure tool) cut my gums to shreds in the process (the pedicure tool was metal!) and was still not a perfect solution. Thanks to the world wide web I found aligner removal tools. HEAVEN SENT! I've still cut my gums with the other brand (seriously folks, my aligners are TIGHT!) but it's much more rare and not as dramatic. I'm giving this tool four stars rather than five due to lack of value. The price is a little steep (not outrageous or anything, but it's a tiny piece of plastic with a hook on the end (basically a crochet hook with a round handle at the base) for what you're getting, but the fact is, if you have aligners, you need it, so order it! Haha! TIPS: 1. If you're having a hard time removing your trays even WITH the tool, try tiny little pulses of pressure rather than one hard pull. 2. Additionally you can cut/file a tiny place on the outer edge of your aligner, towards the back as a divot for the tool to find purchase. Your orthodontist can do this for you, or if you decide to do it (I did!), be sure to be VERY careful (look it up online and watch a tutorial first) because if you cut too much you run the risk of cracking your tray and thus setting back your treatment schedule. 3. Buy three tools total. I have one at home, carry one in my purse and have a third as backup (but for some people the third would be kept at the office). I bought this set and another which was two tools for a little under 10 dollars rather than this single for a little under five dollars and found this tool to be slightly more user friendly than the other brand. BOTTOM LINE: Buy an aligner tool today!

No more chipped nail polish from removing my aligners!
I was skeptical at first with getting an aligner removal tool because usually after the first few days, I’m able to remove my aligners. But then I got buttons on all of my teeth and it was so hard and painful to remove. My nails got weaker and so I gave in and picked the pultool based off of the reviews and the fact that the inventor was a dental assistant who created it for her patients. It looks and feel high quality and super easy to remove my aligners. I thought I’d only use it for the first few days of each new aligner but because it fits so easily in my case, I use it all of the time instead of my fingers. Highly recommend and worth it!

My Invisalign trays removal time changed from 5 minutes to less than a minute
Trying to remove the trays with my fingers wrecked my fingernails, literally tore them to shreds. I ended up clipping my nails really short to prevent fabric, my hair, etc. from getting caught in the in the layers in my nails. Of course, then I couldn't remove the trays. But PUL came to the rescue! I can now get my aligner trays out in less than a minute when it used to take me anywhere from 5-12 minutes to get them off, amid much pain and cursing. You must, however, insert the removal tool on the interior of the mouth and not the outside of the gums like your dental professional shows you to do when just using your fingernails. Watch the video on the product site. I sometimes have to also pull from the center and not just the sides to remove the trays, but it so much faster and easier with the PUL tool. Thank you PUL!

This has saved me! I recently got my plastic retainers after my braces and really struggled to take them off, which caused me a lot of distress whenever it came to wanting to eat or drink during my first week of having to wear them every day. This item is durable, sturdy and good quality. The design makes it easy to hook on, and pop off the retainers with such ease without causing any damage. It’s also small and compact, making it easy to take anywhere. Sometimes I pop it in my retainer case when I have to travel. It’s super cheap too, so very much worth the money. Highly recommend this to anyone who used retainers for an easier removal process.
