Tippmann TMC 68 Caliber Dual Feed Paintball Marker

Overall I really like this marker!!! Very authentic look and easy to move with. The build is high quality and the gun/mags appears to be able to take a beating. Played about 8 hours with this so far and have had 2-3 feed issues with the mag. If you get a misfeed the gun will not fire, not even dry fire. The first time during a game this happened I wasn't sure how to diagnose this. I fired and nothing happened, my first thought was air issue, like my tank or remote failed. Once realized that was not the issue I dropped the mag and saw a chopped ball stuck in the chamber which caused the gun to completely not fire. It was kind hard to clean the breach in game but once I corrected the issue the gun worked great again. Not sure if that's a typical response from a magfed gun but it threw me off for a minute. My previous gun to this was the a5 and I was a little worried about spray and pray shooters versus magfed but I gotta say this gun can keep up. I went thru 19 balls rapid fire a couple times and the gun surprised me. A couple notes/recommendations/Cons 1) 19 balls max in each mag, I have seen videos talking about dimpling balls with 20 but more than that 20 balls will cause feed issues 2) Barrel seemed a little over bored, I tried 4 different cases of paint (all.68 caliber)and each brand rolled right thru the barrel with ease. I have upgraded to the 14inch tippmann sniper barrel to help improve the accuracy. Accuracy with stock barrel seemed a little off, the add for the Tmc says it has a high performance barrel already but I would disagree. 3) 4 mags would prob be good for smaller games but if you in a medium to large game and tend to stay in longer than most players you should carry 6. 4) Had a ball somehow break in the mag itself which completely stopped the mag from operating until I could break it down, another good reason to get 6 mags 5) First time opening this gun up was a challenge, there are a lot of pins/parts that fell out before I had the frame apart which made it hard to re assemble. You def want to hang on to the diagram in the book until you know this marker in and out. 6) You also want this on a remote, I got a micro line which worked perfect. Having a tank on the asa defeats the mobility of this gun and makes it cumbersome to aim. 7) Iron sights are so so, I have been trying to figure out a bettering sighting system. I tried a scope but it looked to big, and red dot but the accuracy of the barrel hindered that, the iron sights are kinda hard to focus down. Not sure if its the color or the actual spacing of the plastic that made those hard to use. I have ordered a smaller 4x scope which hopefully will help otherwise I'm going to just stick with fire and adjust off the paintball itself Hope this helps with your decision, overall I love this gun and have a lot of fun tweaking it and showing it off

I didn't know what to expect when I bought a $200 marker. I own several high-end paintball markers, but this by far is my favorite up close rifle. Pros: Light weight, 98 threaded barrel meaning TONS of upgrade options, great rail system for even more TONS of customization, comes with 2 great mags and a dummy mag for hopper-fed games, the stock feels well-made and not wiggly like some cheap collapsible stocks, and the overall feel of the marker incredibly sturdy. It's a Tippmann so it is like the AK-47 of the paintball world in terms of reliability. Average: The stock barrel is dead accurate up to about 40ft before the balls veer off; while I was impressed, I ditched it for a better barrel. Really comes to life with a CO2 line. Cons: Doesn't take First Strike rounds. Unlike many other great Tippmann markers (98, A5, TiPX, etc...) this marker doesn't *yet* have an upgrade for the best long-range rounds on the market. Also, this is solely a semi-auto rifle; Tippmann hasn't yet shown the love it has for its other products and released an electronic trigger for this marker. Overall Impression: Whether you're a beginner or a vet, this gun will bring a smile to your face. For $200, I highly recommend it for anyone who plays.

First of I'd like to say this gun is freakin awesome it comes with two magazines and one dummy mag that is needed when using a hopper but I mean why would you use a hopper this thing is really light I own a salvo and that was a heavy brick to carry not that I didn't love it but this gun has took my heart I owned abunch of little trinkets I was able to attach onto the gun like the apex barrel the gun is 98 threaded it has four nice sturdy R.I.S rail they are plastic but seem durable enough the grip on this gun is unbelievable it's so comfortable to hold it comes with a nice rubber grip that conforms neatly to my hand I have big hand and it felt like a glove the TMC also come with a built in one point sling mount and the stock is pretty cool looking plastic aswell. With my barrel on here this Gun shot incredibly straight and incredibly far this gun really impressed my I own a 98 a salvo an alpha black and an a-5 and this tmc completly won me over PROS- •mag fed and hopper fed if you need it •no ugly gas line protruding from the gun •nice sturdy but keeps the smooth feel •really identical to and AR/M4 feel •magazine are cheap and strong CONS- None that I can find

Is it better then Empire axe 1 or G Tek ? with out a doubt —- NO, even a hell no. What this delivers is. Price, durability, looks and constituency. I what are the cons. The gun is heavy. Really heavy. Like 5 lbs more then the custom 98. This gun kicks, it’s like shooting a real gun. It’s loud. The major complaint is there is no good place to hold the gun when not playing. The barrels shroud is sharp and clip is on the trigger. Tippman fail My verdict for price point , want that look with durability. Buy. Same price point. Better performance E mak Better value A5 or Custom 98 w/ apex barrel. It’s not a the perfect gun, it a lot fun.

This is my new "most peaceful" anti-protester marker. I love the design and handling. Keep in mind that it does not come with any type of air supply. So, you'll need to purchase an adapter for CO² cartridges or an air tank. I was a bit disappointed it didn't come with any of that or openly mention that. Regardless, the marker has worked well and has a familiar feel for those used to shooting a M4/AR15.

This thing is awesome..I was only able to fire it for a bit, everything function like it should. It took probably 5 minutes from opening the box to fully assemble Probably another 5 and I was shooting it. 15 to 19 joules out the box . Turned it up some..... Barrel is kinda large but after market is plentiful . Careful when charging up . It fired .so keep pointed in a safe direction with safety on. Have fun I know I will.......

Gun functions flawlessly. Trigger is around 2.5lb of pull but reset is very long, don't expect rapid fast firing like a good triggered ar15. Out of the box it was crono'd at 155fps. After getting to regulation speeds (275fps) it would deviate about +/-15 to 20fps. I upgraded to the apex 2 barrel and used it for a few hours in various matches using valken graffiti paint, basically just below competition grade paint. Shots were everywhere, no accuracy what so ever. The velocity range was slightly better with a +/- 10 to 12 fps deviation. I ordered a sniper barrel to try out hoping it shrinks my groupings dramatically. I can't fault the gun because paint to barrel match is key. Mechanically it works great. Have had no functionality issues apart from a spare mag i bought which sometimes doesn't feed all the rounds. Gun has a lot of potential for a cheaper mag fed option but I would suggest buying a 98 custom barrel that is a .683 or .685 bore to improve the accuracy. Update 1: Another thing I noticed is the handgaurd after 1 day of on the field isn't exactly loose but does have some shift too it. It's not that big of a deal but I noticed it when I mounted a laser on the rail. Something to think about but there are after market m4 barrel nut adapters. Edit 2: I tried a tippmann 16" sniper barrel and it is about the same as the stock barrel performance wise (inconsistent vertical stringing and inconsistent horizontal stringing with the stock and 16" sniper barrel I maybe got a 2ft group with some flyers that stretched to 5 ft at 45ft target distance). Velocity inconsistency was about the same as the factory barrel with a +/- 15 to 18 fps deviation. The apex 2 was more consistent on vertical consistency but would also group about 2ft at 45ft target distance and have some far flyers horizontally. I invested in a Gog freak barrel kit so I can actually get some accuracy out of this thing. I think it's dumb manufactures make most barrels over bore at .690 when most paintballs are .684-.687 in size. Makes for inconsistent and unpredictable shots. If you want accuracy with this gun you will have to buy a under bore barrel or a freak barrel with inserts to match the paint to the barrel. I talked to some other players who were running the tmc and they agreed it suffers in the accuracy dept. Update 3: Gog freak barrel kit works wonder on tightening up groupings. Defiantly the way to go with these guns. I have had 0 luck with overbored barrels with this gun Update 4: after the addition to the Gog freak barrel, higher end paint, polishing the inside of the shells where the bolt and hammer slide against and adding a kill house bolt, it shoots pretty consistent now. Update 5: After a few months of use the shroud does loosen up. The best barrel for this is still the freak kit. I've found running a .679 sleeve while tuning the velocity has made this thing a laser. This particular gun seems to shoot the best with the freak barrel and around 250-255 fps. It can literally put shot on top of shot at 50 ft. Turning up the velocity made the accuracy worse. These cheap guns are not soft shooting air systems, keep that in mind so velocity and bore matching is crucial.

The TMC is a great paintball marker, it's lightweight, it's durable, most of it's body is made of steel , easy to use, shoots fine (recommend upgrade the barrel) , it's air efficient, it's cheaper compared to other markers and it's components like the mags and orings are cheape, can run both mags or hopper ... But it's not perfect, it can't shoot first strike, you can't use the air tank in the stock unless you upgrade it, it's not easy to clean Overall I would say for the price overall is a good deal, you will have a solid marker with nice features so as your first marker you will be very happy
