I bought this to track my inches after starting tirzepatide, and it works great. It’s simple, accurate, and connects without any drama — which is more than I can say for most of the tech in my house. The inches aren’t exactly falling off at warp speed, but the measurements are honest, consistent, and definitely showing progress. And yes, go ahead and suck in that stomach while you take your measurements. I figure it’s basically exercising those muscles anyway. If you’re always sucking it in, that’s like seven bonus workouts a week. Score. Not a magic wand, but a solid tool that keeps me motivated and mildly entertained.

Using a device like this one really helps you stay motivated and keep up with your goals. I don't think many people (who are not in the ins of the fitness world) think about measuring their bodies, but this tool really helps bring into perspective your goals and how close you are to them. The whole device set up, use, the app, etc was a little bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it works great.

This is my second Renpho Smart Body Measuring Tape. I owned my first one for about three years before we noticed the measurements were becoming inaccurate. We tried recalibrating it without success, so I decided to purchase a replacement. Compared to my previous model, I like this one much better. The handheld design is more comfortable to use, and the larger display makes it much easier to read your measurements. The tape retracts smoothly and is very easy to operate. Overall, the appearance is nice and feels like an upgrade. One thing I don't like is the connector at the end of the tape. I wish it had a stronger magnetic connection or a more secure locking mechanism. Once you loop the tape around your body and connect it to take a measurement, it can come loose fairly easily if the tape is tugged, which can be frustrating when you're trying to get an accurate reading by yourself. A nice improvement is that this model uses three AAA batteries, which are included in the box. That's definitely a plus, since most people already have AAA batteries at home, making future replacements simple and inexpensive. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. Despite the issue with the connector, it's easy to use, easy to read, and integrates well with the Renpho app. If Renpho improves the locking mechanism on future versions, this would easily be a 5-star product.

I really wanted to like this tape measure because I already own other RENPHO products. Unfortunately, this one has been disappointing. My tape does not fully retract unless I manually press down on the locking area. The hook also slides out very easily, making it difficult to take measurements by myself. According to the instructions, there should be a click when the hook locks into place, but mine never clicks. Because of this, the tape is frustrating to use and I don’t feel confident that I can get consistent measurements. This may be a defective unit, but this has been my experience.

The RENPHO Smart Tape Measure works as advertised and feels well-built with good material quality. The build quality is solid, and the screen is really easy to read, which makes taking measurements simple and convenient. However, the app feels dated and could use a refresh for better usability. The price is also higher than I would have liked for a product in this category. Overall, the device itself is functional and accurate, but the software experience and cost leave room for improvement. Body Fat Scale ES-WBE28 Using since Jan/2022 (probably) Very happy with this scale. Gives consistent performance, long battery life and provides a great deal of information. Would happily recommend it to anyone interested in detailed information about the current state of your body. Tape Measure ES-TAPE Using since Jan/2022 Prior to Using this digital tape measure I was using a cloth tape like the type used by tailors. Although I found it awkward to use at first I eventually got the hang of it and have been able to record the various body measurements quickly without much fuss. I paid about $21.00 for it and feel it's worth the price. Tape Measure R-Y002 Using since May/2025 What an absolute frustrating POS this thing is. Where do I begin? The end of the tape is supposed to stay secured to the body of the unit by inserting a plastic tab into a slot. In theory this should work, but in reality , it doesn't want to stay in the slot. The ES-TAPE on the other hand has a cylinder shaped "tab" that "clicks" into place and stays securely fastened to the tape body. Yes, it has come loose a couple of times but the R-Y002's tab releases from its slot constantly! The unit is able to show measurements in both CM and IN. I prefer to use the IN notation. However, the display more often than not will show the CM and IN labels at the same time. When this happens the App displays the measurement CM and the only way to get the unit to display the IN reading is to force stop the App and re-measure. In the rare instance that I am able to get the unit and the App to display the measurement as desired I am able to enter the various body measurements. HOWEVER, often times I find that when I'm about halfway or more through the various measurements suddenly they all revert to a zero reading. So, what used to take me about 5 or so minutes to record the various measurements can take up to 15 to 20 minutes with the new and improved R-Y002 unit. The App Prior to using the R-Y002 Overall I have not had any problems using the App. The only thing I would like to see changed, is the prompting sequence of the listed measurements. If I already have the tape measuring my left thigh it would be alot more efficient to then measure my left calf as the next measurement since I already have the tape wrapped around that leg. Yes, you can tap on the App to select a different body part to measure, but the software wants to keep going back to what it originally selected. Very frustrating! All in all I'm happy with the Renpho line of products except for the R-Y002 TAPE Measure device. At $46 do yourself a solid and stick with the original ES-TAPE unit.

Facilidad para medir y capturar las medidas, le pongo 4 estrellas porque al ligarlo a la aplicación te hace pensar que tienes espacio para medidas personalizadas, pero sólo te permite introducir las que tiene programado el dispositivo, aunque la puedas tomar no te permite introducirlas manualmente. Pero la cinta cumple con su objetivo de medición en las áreas más comunes. Medidas de tobillos o muñecas si tienes que hacerlo por tu cuenta y llevar el registro en papel.
