GT3500HDR 1080p Full HD Home Laser Projector

I’ve noticed that reviews here are for various projector models so this review is for the GT3500HDR. I have a 144” portable screen I use for outdoor movies and sports. I was in need of a new projector at a reasonable price. 4K short throw laser projectors were too expensive so the Optoma 1080P was in my price range. Even better, I bought it as an open box on Amazon for less than $1000 and when I received it the box was sealed and never opened, so I got a great deal. The maximum suggested screen diagonal listed for this projector is 120” so I thought I’d take a risk for the larger 144” screen. Works perfectly but the focus is at the maximum limit so you won’t be able to do a bigger screen than 144”. The projector is bright and the colors vibrant. The nice thing with the laser engine is 30,000 hour life and cool down after power off is only a minute. If you can get it on sale or as an open box this is the best 1080p short throw laser projector for the price.

I ordered new but this looks like a refurbished machine. Security seal was broken and everything inside looked repackaged.

I have used it for 3 weeks. Simple, reliable, bright. I will report later.

Excellent UST projector, bright, image quality was good. 100 x 50 inches from just 12 inches. My issue was a textured wall and couldn't add a screen. Easy set up and quiet, sound was just ok from on board speaker.

Overpriced. The picture was not the best. The unit was very basic for the price.

No complaints, works great. Keep in mind if your screen is at all "wavy" or rippled, ultra short projectors like this can look pretty bad.

Setup and run....Right outa the box! The remote is a bit 'Dainty' for the price of the overall package. Just have to be mindful of it...Not get rough with it. Plays on the off-white stucco wall nicely. Very satisfied with it.

The photos people put on here do no justice, I kept it in eco mode, and the colors are rich, it's bright even during the day, it's tricky to setup with a roll down screen ( a wall painted projector screen would work best ) I can stand up infront of the screen with motion controllers, no mess of hundreds of feet worth of cable, didn't have to hang overhead anything, the picture, in-game or movies is great, options for just about everything, having it in eco mode, can't hear the fans at all, had to actually look and feel the little cool breeze coming out, the speakers? Idk, I plugged in the old sony This is 1080p, but we ain't rich, everything we watch is 1080p anyways, the option to purchase a 4k Blu ray player, or hook up my pc for 4k viewing is still an option too, this is a 120inch screen. Projector is about 15 inches from wall, I moved the screen 4 inches back closer, tighter to the wall, flatter the better At night the picture is amazing and bright Overall this works wonders in our rather small living room, our last two led projectors burnt the screen, led ram even burn the backplate on videocards, gonna stay away from led projectors Just got this, will update as needed... Much better picture on a smooth, flat white wall, didn't even get HD paint yet

Es un proyector para Gaming además cubre bastante bien las demandas para películas y Tv, puede estar encendido continuamente sin calentarse en exceso, reemplacé mi anterior proyector; es una enorme ventaja que sea tiro ultracorto y que no haga falta reemplazar lámparas, acepta todo lo que un videojugador requiera 120fps+HDR o bien 4k+HDR y con tiempos de respuesta minimos, PC, PS5, XBOX, SteamDeck, Nintendo switch, cualquier dispositivo a cualquier resolución 480p 720p 1080p 2160p luce limpio como una resolución nativa. El único pero es el nuevo control remoto, comprar o usar el modelo antiguo es lo más recomendable.
